"If I could give her a zero, I would. The positive reviews here, are due only to the fact that everything went as planned, and normal with their deliveries, and Dr. Turner didn't have to act quickly to save their life, which, if she would have, she would have failed them like she did with me. After I had my child, my uterus ruptured, and I laid there hemorrhaging while she could not figure out what was wrong with me. A rapid response team was called, and I remember her standing against the wall with a deer in the headlights look, looking scared and not knowing what to do. I ended up in ICU, not the OR, which is where she should have taken me. Very long story short, I ended up septic, with a necrotic uterus, because she discharged me home, saying that the massive amount of blood in my abdomen would eventually reabsorb, and that the hole in my uterus would heal. I ended up firing her, because I did not trust her judgement, and another physician ended up taking me to emergency surgery, and I ended up with a hysterectomy at the age of 31. The surgery was done a few days later, and my uterus was already necrotic. I was septic and ended up going into acute renal failure, and spent several weeks in the hospital. I was unable to breast feed or bond with my newborn, and left unable to have more children in the future, all because of her neglect. I should have been taken to the OR immediately for my uterine rupture, but she was too scared to act quickly, and she failed me. I remember her telling me once I was stable and out of ICU, that she didn't "do ICU" that she didn't " do emergencies like mine", UM WHAT??? I thought, you're my Dr and I trusted you. She told me she didn't want to take me to the OR, because my bleeding had stopped, and she didn't want to "open up pandora's box". Instead, she discharged me home, and I ended up septic, almost dying, and with a hysterectomy because my uterus was necrotic by the time I got to the OR 5 days later. She may seem nice and friendly, which she is, and always was in my routine visits with her, but she is not a confident physician or surgeon. If there is an emergency, she will be too scared to save you or possibly your babies life, and she should not be trusted in an emergency situation. I know that she went to peer review for her negligence in my case, but I don't have access to the outcome of it. I should have turned her into the Texas Medical Board, but didn't at the time, because I was just struggling to make it, heal, recover, and take care of my family. I will always regret not turning her in, but I feel at least I can write a review to warn others, and hopefully I can save them from what happened to me. I work in the medical field, and I know how she handled my care was pure neglect, but physicians are protected more in Texas than other states, so it is very hard to sue them if you can't "prove" neglect, or have a poor outcome like death, which fortunately the other physician stepped in and saved my life, not Dr. Turner. Please understand that I only write this review to tell my story, and to warn others that outside of a normal delivery, she should not be trusted. Find another physician, because if something goes wrong during your delivery, you do not want her to be your physician."
