Reviews of Bammel Elementary School
"This school...this DISTRICT has gone down the drain! This school has/had a lady named Mrs. Stuart who was the front desk receptionist. She is super rude, hangs up on you, will avoid answering your call (due to the assistance of caller ID)....and I have even gone to the school to drop off a lunch kit and it never makes it to the class. I have gone in and complete the request to have my kids walk home instead of taking the bus/day care, only to come home to half of my kids walking and the others were missing. Come to find out, Mrs. Stuart decided to not get the information to the classroom on time (mind you I came in before 12pm so there was plenty of time to relay the information) so my kids were sitting in the office. No one attempted to call me, have my kids call me, nothing. The communication between staff/faculty and parents is repulsive. Back in 2015-2016/2016-2017 they revamped the entire staff of teachers and faculty. THAT speaks volumes! This district places incompetent individuals who are not fully equipped to educate our children, in a classroom with 20+ children and the outcome is repulsive! I could sit and write instance after instance of experiences that my family and I have had with this school, but to save yourself the time, stress, hassle, and frustration...DO NOT ENROLL YOUR KIDS IN THIS SCHOOL IF YOU CAN HELP IT! There have been about 2-3 principals in the last 5 years, the staff and teachers are constantly changing, and it seems to get worse and worse each year. The teachers are constantly changing within the school year. They don't even wait until the year is finished. I have finally been able to pull all but 1 of my children OUT of this school and unfortunately we have to wait til they reach the age to allow me to home-school them. Out of all 4 of my kids, 3 are being home schooled this year and the one who isn't will be next year. IF you have kids who are old enough to go to Bammel Middle School, I HIGHLY ADVISE YOU FIND ANOTHER SCHOOL OR LOCATION TO LIVE SO YOU ARE ZONED SOMEWHERE ELSE. The older these kids get, the worse it is, and the teachers are literally there for the hell of it. In this school the only teachers I have come across that are worth anything are Mrs. Sullivan (2nd grade), Mr. Strickland (2nd grade), Mr. Lawson (1st Grade), Coach Davis, and Mrs. Williams (3rd Grade). A lot of the teachers have switched around grade wise. If your child gets Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Leroy, or Mrs. Guillory (mostly 5th grade, however Mrs. Guillory has switched to 2nd/3rd grade) REQUEST A DIFFERENT SET OF TEACHERS! If not, PREPARE for stress and headaches. One of these teachers, I believe Mrs. Williams, climbed across a set of desks at a child in my daughters class, and they talk about as ignorantly as they look. Mrs. Smith has the most ghetto and ignorant attitude I have ever seen, and Mrs. Guillory is neck and neck with her. They are rude, fail to communicate, and have no reservation displaying their ignorance when dealing with parents, regardless if their supervisors are in the room or not. (And disregard the review below that says she is sent from heaven! The parent who wrote that has got to be just as ghetto as she is because Mrs. Guillory is a headache, a pain in the ass, and is one of the worst in this school!) If I could give this school 0 stars, I would. DO NOT PUT YOUR KIDS IN THIS SCHOOL!!!!!"
"My son went to Kindergarten at Bammel and he really loved it. His teacher was amazing and was a bit strict. Being in Houston and dealing with little children, I love that they begin to mold them so soon. Only 2 complaints from me are that the website is rarely updated and during the school year i get advisories for school events the day of the event... I have a full time job and need to know ahead of time to be able to attend my sons school events."
"My son has attended Bammel Elemery for the past 2 years, this school is very unorganized they are constantly switching homeroom teachers which is causing the children to have substitute teachers until they find replacements, needless to say it affects the kids from properly retaining material. i tried to reach out to the staff multiple times to build report with his new teachers but they never have time, this school is ranked a 1 out of 10 in the school district academic learning levels. i will be looking for a new school to enroll my son to next year. This needs to be fixed Spring ISD"
"Ms.Guillory is SENT FROM HEAVAN!! She really shows how much she cares. She responds to any questions (EVEN ON SATURDAY). My daughters loves the way she teaches. She loves how in her words she's strict and nice at the same time:) She emails out so many resources to give my daughter every single tool to be as successful as she can. She even stay after school twice a week for tutorials. I was really blessed to have my daughter in Miss. Guillory's class. I can't thank you enough for all you do for my child. Your my TEACHER OF THE YEAR with out a doubt."
"I dont like this school. Im hoping next year i can move out of the area and transfer my kids to another school. One of my sons teacher is GREAT...really takes interest in his progress. But my daughter's teachers are awful. To makes matters worst, the new principal is HORRIBLE. She is aways yelling at the kids. Never seen her approach them in a positive manner. Can't wait to take my kids out."
