"I had reserved two rooms through a third-party booking system as I own a travel agency, for the solar eclipse back on 4/25/2023. Unbeknownst to me, the rooms had been cancelled on 5/5/2023. Upon calling, the hotel manager Derick Charles, he stated there was a system upgrade on 5/4/2023 to adjust the hotel rooms by $400+ due to the solar eclipse event and he authorized the cancellation of all prior bookings. This is completely unethical and there was no notice the rooms were cancelled. Had we not done our due diligence, my clients would have arrived at the hotel for their reservations only to be turned away. I am now scrambling attempting to find hotel accommodations for my clients to rebook them and there is minimal to any inventory available and this is a poor reflection on my agency as a result due to this decision by the hotel manager. Based on reading other reviews, there seems to be a common theme with other reservations being cancelled, so buyer beware!"
"I was driving in from Wisconsin to Tennessee and was getting really sleepy. Called them at 2 am for reservation. Host was Awesome. Nice hotel"
"We came back to this hotel after a good stay the first time while my mother in law has been in the hospital. Upon arriving they charged $25 more than my reservation and receipt showed for. One of the beds were broke, cleaning didn't clean under furniture and when we moved the chair to watch TV it was full of filth and crumbs underneath, upon taking a shower I found what looked like blood specs on the wall, then had somebody else come into our room in middle of night while there from them double booking the room. After asking Dorothy to speak with a manager she said Derick wouldn't be in until Tuesday and it was Saturday. On top of this I am in a high risk pregnancy, and instead of getting any type of resolution they kicked me, my child, and dog out while refusing to give any refund, even though we paid until Monday, for us to get another room stating the manager will handle that Tuesday when he comes in while we are over 4hrs from home with nowhere to go. I am beyond upset with how everything was handled, and will not be returning."
"As an IHG diamond member i would think i would be treated with a little bit more respect i spend about any where between 100 and 180 days a year in hotels And IHG gets about 98%of my business so its kind of im not sure how to word this so im going to be blunt if i mis place my room key and need a new one one should be made no questions asked and when i say if i find it ill bring it down to the front desk thats what im going to do but not at this hotel no new key for you they are going to follow you to your room and let you in everytime you need in not sure what kind of program that is but that needs changed and like now im kind of easy going but there are folks that would have a bigger problem with that than i do. So my last stay at this hotel was one that wont be forgotten i hope next time if i decided to stay there that the staff can respect the diamond status that i have earned with IHG $$$ and just make me a new key instead of treating us like we are children!!!!!"
"Arrived with a booking in a 1 bedroom suite immediately when I went to check in the employee called her manager and said I had a dog and where should they put me. They downgraded me to a plain double queen room on the first floor which is the only floor they allow pets. The room stinks of dirty dog and stale cigarettes but they claimed that was the last available room for guests with dogs. No apologies or offer to compromise. I have a 6 lb hypoallergenic yorkie who travels with me all the time and I've never encountered this. They claim to be pet friendly but only have 1 trash can and poop bag center that looks like it hasn't been emptied in weeks and no bags. The bed springs squeak and you can feel them when you move. You can hear every step of the people on the 2nd level. Hampton inn was booked or I would have moved there. I sure hope their non-pet friendly rooms are better than the one I'm in. Won't be back"
