"Always got wonderful service. The employees have always been respectful until today a new women working there was very rude. She told me to hurry up and then she cussed. Unprofessional. I am handicapped and they always are so helpful to get my gas. This lady told me I would have to wait awhile. I usually tell them if you’re busy I can wait not a problem. This lady would not give me the chance to say that. She was very hateful, disrespectful, mean. Her appearance was horrible a dirty t shirt no bra. She was filthy. Normally I would have overlooked that but the rudeness. Telling me to hurry up then the cussing. Terrible."
"Kidds has always been my go to for popcorn & gas. I always support small businesses, but I cannot support a small business who has racist management. While making myself a soda I heard an employee telling her manager about an incident with a customer from a previous day, the curly headed manager (at the Broadway location) instantly said to her employee, “were they black? It’s always a black person, I can’t stand that” then proceeded to tell her employee that she is not racist and even has tons of black friends, then continued telling them about how all black people just have attitudes and how you have to always be sure to keep an eye on the black kids that come in here. I was absolutely disgusted and I felt sorry for the employee she was talking to because you could clearly tell that she was uncomfortable with the way HER MANAGER was talking. Think twice before giving your business to a company who allows a vocal racist to be their face."
"Was 2nd in line at drive thru on kingshighway location this morning and after a 7 minute conversation I ended up getting out of line and going in as the car behind me did as well. I've been loyal to Kidds for 30 years because of their customer service. I expressed my frustration when I paid only to get zero response. Seems service has slipped here."
"Newly renovated and with a much improved drive thru, my favorite corner store is finally open again. The coffee and tea is good. the popcorn is always tempting but ask how old it is after 5pm. Quick service in the store and at the window. And the location is on the way to most places in town."
"My husband attempted to use our debit card inside the store to pay for gas. When the cashier swiped the card she told him that it was declined for insufficient funds. So he asked her to try a smaller amount. Again he was told it was declined. We left to check the balance because he knew that the first transaction was close but the second transaction should have went through. When we checked our account we found that the first time the cashier swiped the card it did not decline it but in fact had taken what was left on the card which would have left $0.56 for us to pay the difference with cash or we could have simply pumped $0.56 less than what we had asked for. So we returned to the store and after calling the manager we were told to come back on Monday as this was a Saturday and there were no managers there. (I might add that we live over an hour away and they were informed of this.) so my husband returns on Monday and was told "I'm sorry sir, we don't give refunds." My husband also asked if he could simply pump the gas that we have already paid for. Again we are told no. After another debate we were told that our money would be put back on our debit card in 24-72 hours. A week later we have still not received our money. I will not be returning to this store unless it is for my "refund.""
