"I have been shopping at Mariano’s since the opened in LZ. However, lately this location decided to cheat and take advantage of its valuable customers. I would not write this negative comment if this was a single isolated incident, however this location sells slimy cold cuts, expired and rotting Mahi Mahi fish, expired frozen food. I’m going to alert the store manager as well as Lake County Health Department."
"I've been going to Mariano's for years now. Since they opened in Arlington Hts. They are slipping, whether it's just our Lake Zurich store or all of them. Used to be highest quality, now just above average. To add more products on the shelves they stop carrying others. And now they have put LOCKS on their carts. I tried to get out the door and I couldn't because the wheels locked up and I had to abandon the cart in the door way. Somebody sold them a bill of goods, I can't imagine that they would lose that many carts in LAKE ZURICH! OH well Jewel is close by and Woodman's isn't too far."
"This is not a good grocery store anymore. I used to buy diary and fresh vegetables here and l actually preferred this store than the nearby Costco for bakery as well, but not any more. This store now has much higher price than other grocery stores and sometimes shortages of organic milk. Another very annoying thing is that they do not change their discount price label on time. Very common here you take a discount item to the cashier just to be told that this is not a discount item, and if you ask why, they will tell you that discount expired, they just have not changed the label yet. Good luck shopping here."
"I brought my 91 yr. Old mother to purchase her weekly groceries here. She purchased 2 bottles of wine with her order. They carded her for the wine purchase which I understand is a requirement. But her license just recently expired and we have convinced her not to renew it based on her age for the safety of others. Twice now the cashier has announced loudly This is expired! I know the answer is to get the real ID but seriously 91 years old and they are giving her a hassle? There are many grocery store choices out there to have to deal with this! No longer shopping here"
