Walker Creek Elementary School

"I went to the end of year party and brought my little girl to eat with my fourth grade daughter. I brought food and when it was time for everyone to get food which there was plenty of, we put some veggies on my daughter’s plate and one of the fourth grade teachers told us that we are not alowed to have any of the party food. I didn’t even grab a plate for myself who brought food, I only wanted a little food for my daughter who I brought so we could sit with my fourth grade child and eat with her. I did not like being told that we could not eat with my daughter. If parents and siblings were truly not welcome at these school parties then it should have been mentioned in the emails sent out so that the few parents who show up are not sent away with hurt feelings. That also happened to me at this school in the cafeteria when I wanted to eat with my daughter. I haven’t come back since that day to eat with her because of the the rudeness of that staff personnel in the cafeteria that day."
