"My cat Solace is very comfortable here ,Me 2 its very nice and peaceful"
"We stayed one night passing through the area. The campground is nice, clean, with adequate space between sites. The super-nice camp host came over to our site to check us in minutes after we arrived. The river is right next to the campground. When we were there in July, the lily pads were blooming by the hundreds. And we were shocked at how few mosquitoes there were. The campground is just upstream of a dam and lock. Not sure if the lock accepts visitors, but I'd be checking on that potential adventure if we had kids with us. We like to point out the planes, trains, and automobile noise at campgrounds, as they are most often zoned near these annoyances. But there was none of that here. However, we can add a new campground noise ti the list at this one.... a few times, the distant and low horns of the boats communicating with the lock operators would sound. But it wasn't annoying at all."
"Very quiet and relaxing spot. Also has a campground on site."
"We were just passing thru on our way out west and luckily they had a spot right on the river that was open. The lady at the entrance booth was super friendly. Our site was #7, It's short but level. We were able to get our 24 foot trailer and truck in the spot. The grounds are well keep and bathrooms clean. There is a bike trail to the dam at the entrance to the campground. We saw lots of birds and Lilly pads."
