"Change in management, horrible customer service. Use to be a place I went because of the customer service. Not so much anymore. 1 jerk that works there belittled and talked down to my wife. Which was the final straw. I also have pulled my account and now go to Westlake Ace."
"Best hardware store in West County. Small footprint with nearly anything it might need. They have products and services other Aces don't: Best healthy ancient grain dog treats cheap. Fill a paper bag for $4 as of 11/23 In-house knife sharpening about $8 a knife"
"As with all ACE locations, they have a bunch of stuff but this one is EXPENSIVE!!! Today's visit was to get 2 of a repair part that says it's around $3-$6 & it was almost $12 each?!?!? Come on, ease up on the prices.... people are helpful but damn..."
"I'd give them 0 stars if I could. Utterly ridiculous procedure to order an item. I called to order a product and was told I had to go to the store to order in person and pre-pay, which was fine. I specifically said I only need one item. When I arrived to order the product. I was told I had to order 4!! It would have cost 4 times more than just buying a single large item!! What kind of customer service Is this?! Terrible!"
"Don't get your key cut here. I was as kind and professional as possible when I came in, asking to have a car key cut and programed. I brought a key to be cut, and the manager acted distressed about the fact. He said if it wasn't cut right, he wasn't going to replace it. If he doesn't cut it right, that's an error on skill, not on the item I'm bringing in. I said I understood, and he hastely cut the key. He tested it 3 times, but he cut off too much on the first go. Defiantely didn't measure twice, cut once. He cut 3 times, and said it wouldn't work. It was going to be $30 to have cut and programed ($15 to cut/ $15 to program). I was planning on paying with the military discount I've earned, but after giving me back my toothpick of a blank key, he said it would be $100 for the service. Perhaps he was trying to earn his store more profit, perhaps he was upset at another situation and took it out on me as a customer. Regardless, I declined. I will never come back here, and I advise that unless there's a change in management, you do the same. The manager is supposed to be an example of what a location has to offer, a leader. An example to the other employees. Although everyone else that served me was kind and professional, he was absolutely not. He needs a serious attitude check, if not an entire re-evaluation as someone who is capable to be in a position such as his."
