"Boutique prices for a dumpster dive experience. Going through their swimwear section I pulled out a pair of pants and was searching for a size tag. They didn’t have one, but they did have a giant roach on the back of them (it’s on the floor in my photo because I dropped the item when I saw it.) The employee I told was helpful and snatched it up, but the manger sounded pretty nonchalant when he left me a voicemail regarding my receipt survey. Apparently sometimes after it rains they come in… it wasn’t a water bug, it was a roach. If you’re going to charge $20 for donated jeans then I expect to not find huge bugs on them. I can see/almost expect this when I’m digging through items at the bins for $1.89/LB, not when I’m searching actual racks. Also you gotta laugh at the dollar store items with price tags still on them being sold at a 300% markup."
"Came into the store today 1/13/24 with my husband and son (5) looking for a dress and a suitcase. Our son was hiding in the racks, like most kids would, when an employee came up and started yelling at him. My husband then took our son and walked away while I continued to look through the dresses. And while I’m standing there, the same employee that yelled at my son, continues to belittle my son to another one of her coworkers. I immediately asked to speak with a manager. Manager comes, I point out the two employees. Manager turns his back to them and attempts to deescalate the situation all while the two employees are standing there smiling at me. Hopefully they were taught their boundaries today because I’ll be coming back in to do some shopping and I might handle things in a different way if they approach my family again."
"It's a good store it's cheap and even has furniture but it is still used stuff but you can clean it"
"They have gone crazy with their prices, $15-$20 for shoes that have no soles left, $18 for men's jeans that you can get at the Goodwill down the street for $8. All ralph lauren and brooks brothers shirts $15+, used DVDs for the same price you can find them in the Walmart movie bin. Why does this store not offer discounts based on tag color like the stores up north do? Instead if something sits on the shelf and doesn't sell it just gets thrown in the trash compactor out back. prices are retail or even higher $50 for Nintendo games, $14 for 20 year old computer tech that nobody uses anymore. The excitement of thrifting and finding something for cheap doesn't exist here. The thrill of the treasure hunt is unfortunately gone at savers stores anywhere in the St. Louis area now, what a shame."
"This is one of my favorite thrift stores. It is large and has a wide variety of items – lots of clothes, both men's and women's; household goods, kitchenwares, shoes, knick knacks, even framed pictures. This is a particularly fun store to browse even if you don't have anything specific that you are looking for. The parking lot is a little small. There is handicapped parking and barrier-free access to the store. Aisles are wide and easy to navigate. They also have convenient (and open) public restrooms."
