"Poor manager, but good employees. I experienced a rude manager, limited education regarding customer service/ service industry. Loud, childish responses and immature behavior. No accountability. Unfortunately the poor manager overshadows the great employees. Looking at the other reviews seems there is a pattern with the manager. Unfortunate. I won’t be back. I never shopped at Sephora. But I will start."

"Literally hounded for a phone number at checkout. To the point I literally left without even buying the shampoo I wanted because they refused to check me out without a phone number. What part of "no" do you all not understand? Would give a 0 if it were allowed."

"I just want to start saying i seldom ever leave reviews. My recent experience 12/26/2023 was absolutely unbelievable. Within 30 minutes of my arrival to the Ulta on Grand Avenue mid day. I was relentlessly accosted by a latin makeup artist. Over a dozen times this woman asked me if I needed help with anything. I clearly didn’t need any assistance at the time. Each and every time she asked me this question i gave her a no thank you. Every 5-10 minutes I would be asked again and again by this woman if i needed her help. She would then stand at the endcap of every aisle i walked down in the make up section. For context I am a black woman who appears very young. I guess I had the audacity to stand too close to the dior and chanel makeup. This make up artist took it upon herself to ensure that her presence was known by me and that she was watching my every move. I’m an active duty service member who was off duty on the day after Christmas. Simply trying to buy a gift for my mother. I was met with incessant harassment by a latin makeup artist on shift the afternoon of December 26th mercilessly. I will advise every woman of color black women specifically to BEWARE of this Ulta location!"

"First time shopping here in years. I've been trying to work on my skincare routine so of course I'm going to look at ALL the products and visit the aisles more than once because I'm comparing. I did get help from an employee and I ended up placing the item in the ULTA shopping bag. Priced over $100 so it had once of those security devices. He warned me to be sure it doesn't get covered. OK 10-4, got it. I continue shopping and I'm followed to a completely different section across the store, "still finding everything OK?" At no point was I looking around/acting suspicious. I even zipped up my purse when I got in the store to avoid looking like I "conveniently" have my purse open to slip items in. I'd rather see security officers or loss prevention walking around versus being followed and having someone literally in my bubble and 6" from me. Give people space and don't give me something that is high priced if you think I'll steal. Just leave it at the checkout for me then. Not everyone who shops there knows EXACTLY what they want and leaves within 15 minutes or less. I had no problem dropping $250+ yesterday because I can certainly afford it. Prior veteran and I'm making well over $90K annually."
