"This review is specifically for the hair and makeup services I received. Emma C. did my makeup for a formal event. She was AMAZING! So sweet, listened to my concerns (I don't often wear foundation and was afraid of it being caked on), looked at my reference photos I had for some ideas, and was able to give me a gorgeous face of makeup! I would recommend her in a heartbeat. I was very impressed and the makeup lasted all night (applied at 1pm and event lasted until midnight with no issues!) CJ did my updo and it was fantastic as well. I had a few photos for ideas but basically said I wanted a softer updo with curls in a loose bun. She was quick, efficient, and my hair (that normally has issues holding a curl) stayed perfect all night. Overall, all the girls I encountered at the beauty/makeup/brow bar were are super nice and encouraging. I'm going to be returning for brow services. If you need makeup or hair done for a formal occasion that won't break the bank, I'd recommend these two at Ulta!"

"Amazing associates!! Unfortunately I forgot the name of the woman who has helped me the past few times. But she helped me SOO much with my ulta account, something I've been struggling with for months. I really appreciate the extra mile she went for me. I also appreciate how helpful everyone in this store ALWAYS is no matter how busy it is. Great team here, and that's what matters!!"

"Tips if you want good service (or service at all) here: 1. be skinny 2. be pretty 3. look rich Seriously, I always feel like I'm being judged here. Nobody bothered to greet or help me at all today, despite me making my way through the store. In the past they lose interest as soon as you don't want whatever $40+ lipstick they're trying to sell you. Despite me being in the high end section (read: the section they care about), nobody could be bothered. It always feels like high school in here and I regret giving this location another shot. The worst thing is that I am not the only one who feels this way. Also, a lot of the testers were broken or shattered. There were not wipes to use for taking off samples you swatch."

"Cancelled my appointment without notifying me. They said they called me around 11am the day prior but I have no missed call or voicemail from the salon. I never got a cancelled appointment message like they insist they sent through the booking system. I showed up for my noon appointment since I had the confirmation reminder from earlier in the week and showed that to them, but nobody was able to take my appointment. They grabbed the sales manager (not even the salon manager) and she had a “not my problem” attitude. The stylists were a lot more empathetic, and it’s not their faults. Of course I am on the verge of freaking out because I took off work and never was made aware of the cancellation until I showed up. Thankfully the Naperville/Aurora location was able to take me same day. I prefer to go to the Wheaton location because it is close to home and I love the lady who does my brows there. But because of this experience today, I don’t plan on returning for any services."
