"Love love love this place! Wonderful smells and love the anti wrinkle serum! Excited to try the intense hydrate face and eye cream. My family loves all of the hand made soaps, so it’s a must for gifts each year since they live out of town!"
"Best small town shopping for unique homemade soaps, bath bombs, washes, etc.! Lots of other great items too! There are interesting, self-help type classes - it's just an all-around fantastic place to shop."
"I love everything about Bewitching Botanicals, from the products to the owner to the community. Since first purchasing and using their products myself (and sharing with my family members and friends), I knew I’d found something special. So, as I do whenever I happen upon a product or service I adore, I had to learn more this small business. Coincidentally, the owner had heard about MY small business, as well, so she made her way to me first! And since that day, I’ve never looked back… I now partner with the owner and offer community classes at her beautiful shop (we collaborate to bring everything from yoga classes for families with special needs to workshops on how to mindfully, naturally manage stress & anxiety). I also carry her products at my studio space, and my clients continuously rave about them, a good number asking for more to be featured and restocked. I really can’t imagine a more perfect fit for my yoga studio— wellness and community are my jam, and Bewitching Botanicals stands for both. Lastly, it feels necessary to reemphasize that Bewitching Botanicals is a family-friendly (with 5 kids, 2 with special needs, almost always at her side, the owner keeps her family at the forefront of everything she does), all-inclusive, community-forward small business that doesn’t just push a product or slogan or an image— she practices what she puts out into the world. The owner uses every drop of creativity, love, strength, and hope that she pours into Bewitching Botanicals to make the sort of world she wants for herself, her family, and her community. She’s got my support (and my business) for as long as she’ll have me!!!"
"Mislabeling & Misrepresenting products is incredibly disrespectful to not only their Customers but to other actual Makers as well! It makes me really question their ethics & also what they all actually make themselves. Highly disappointed in a business I was really excited to support. I have heard great things about this store, see their beautiful posts every now and then, and recently received one of their bars of soap as part of a gift. I was very excited as I myself am a handcrafter of bath and body products, so I enjoy when other Makers & Artisans are supported! I recived wonderfully crafted cold process soap! But immediately after holding it in my hand I knew right away 2 things. I received bars with fragrance oil and not essential oils. Upon inspection of the label to just double check… The ingredients are for a melt and pour soap base, which is fine I suppose, but I was under the impression they make their own products plus organic and/or all natural. Melt and pour includes additives such as glycerin and sorbitol (also Sorbitan oleate), which this soap was labeled as having. They are thickeners and humectants. All-natural soap will do this (thicken & produce glycerin) all by itself during the saponification process, I know this as I actually make cold process soap. I also noticed that I cannot find any information on their website or the label as to what type of fragrance used in the bar. The label has none listed and their website listing only says essential oils. The bar label and their website listing shows two completely different ingredients lists! This is potentially really dangerous to someone trusting the labels if they had severe allergies! I was pretty disappointed and ultimately decided to hold off using the bar as I cannot trust the “maker” on what they say is actually in the bar. The bar I received is a cold processed bar with incorrect ingredients listed on the label (I personally, as a soap maker myself, know you cannot produce the type of bar I received with the listed label ingredients). To add salt to my disappointment the second thing is one of my gifted bars, Tea Tree & Mint soap, was basically identical to a bar I purchased from another company some months back. I wholesale from Bulk Apothecary and just to compare soaps from my own line I purchased a few bars of theirs. Curious, I double checked Bewitching's website and now I am really questioning this businesses practices. It appears that they may not in fact make their own (very popular) soaps as they claim! There are a lot of private label ready soap available on Bulk Apothecary that look exactly like Bewitching's soaps. A lot of the soaps even sport the same name from both companies. Now I know what the ingredients are for the soap I received and it states Fragrance Oil & FD & C Colorant NOT Essential Oils or Mica. I can confidently assume my gifted bar is neither all natural, organic, or even made by this store. So all I can say is buyer beware."
