"Remodeled our master bathroom. George was outstanding with his help. He's old school, which was great, but he also was willing to listen and work with our needs. We ended up using schluter profiles instead of bullnose, which turned out awesome. But the marble tile recommendations for the pony wall and shower seat were outstanding and really gave our bathroom that elegant touch. So excited about everything. Their return policy was great and they were spot on with the amounts suggested of materials."
"Huge shout out to Mareena who helped us design our new showers! Great selection, service and pricing. Highly recommend!"
"This place is the BEST for tile. I had been scouting out 3 or 4 other places, one, 20 miles away for me, when I happened to see an ad for The Tile Shop in Deerfield. This place was better than shopping in a bakery when you're hungry. They have so much and it's well organized. They also have at least twenty built in displays. Mareena Good helped me make decisions and get my order in as this was a rush situation. She made sure everything was in stock. One of the items had been discontinued and they did some searching and found enough tiles for me to get the project finished. They wound up making two deliveries to me in Glenview and the delivery people were so great I wanted to invite them in for dinner. This was a great experience, which could have been a disaster. Here is a picture of our new shower which we love."
"Very convenient location and hours. Very easy to communicate with over the phone. Excellent showroom. No hidden fees. Ali The manager made it very comfortable to complete a project that was already stressful. He made some useful suggestions and allowed me to decide on any possible combinations I wanted or did not want. AND made it easy to return any title that was not used! 5 stars all around."
"I just finished a large remodel project and purchased a large majority of my tiles at the Tile Shop. I would first like to say the sales associate I worked with, Laurie, was excellent. She was always on top of her stuff and was in constant communication with me helping me along the way. If I was rating her alone, it would be a 5 star review, unfortunately I had problems with the management. I ordered many boxes of marble tile for my kitchen. I wanted the marble in honed but was informed it only came in polished. Because I liked the color I opted to go for the polished even though it was not my first choice. When the order was delivered, I checked the boxes, the correct amount of tiles and colors were listed on the box. I told my contractor and he had the tile guy start installing them. After tiling about half the kitchen he thought we might be short so he told me to order more boxes. I ordered them, picked them up and dropped them off at the house for the tile guy to finish. I came back later that day and saw that the tiles did not match. It was a subtle difference, but turns out the original tiles I ordered were the right color, but were actually honed! The new ones I picked up were polished. I called the Tile Shop and the manager Maria at first was implying I was lying because she said the tiles don't come in honed. I told her that this was their mistake and not mine, but then was told I should've checked the tiles. I thought me reading the labels on the boxes and checking the color was sufficient, I didn't realize I had to inspect all the tiles in the box and hold them up to the light to make sure they were polished, as they told me, the tiles don't come in honed! The most infuriating thing was that she seemed to insinuate I was lying and trying to return tiles that did not belong to them, who would go to such ridiculous lengths to do such a thing?? They messed up and gave me the wrong tiles, but who will have to pay the price? My tile guy had to rip out 3 boxes worth of tile, which she wanted proof and pictures. We needed to pay for new tile to replace these and I ended up returning 2 and a half boxes of unused tile. The manager said she would only credit me for 2 boxes and as for the return, she would not credit for half boxes of tile so I asked for it back and she refused to give back to me. She said she didn't have to credit me anything for the wrong tiles, even though it was completely their fault. After the whole ordeal I felt disgusted with the situation and how I was treated. Next time I'll go to the Tile Shop off Touhy, I've heard good things about that location (look at the reviews) after already placing my order at Deerfield. I won't make that mistake again."
