"Skilled technicians who work quickly and do a fantastic job. Owner is friendly, prompt and professional. It's been a pleasure working with them on each of several projects. Pricing is very reasonable, below the competition."
"Very friendly, professional owners. Don and Alan know the Hardwood Floor business. The prospective customers will not go wrong doing business here, but don't take my word for it, give them a call, judge for yourself"
"We have Muskoka (now Vintage) flooring on the main floor or our house and when we decided to put hardwood into our second floor bedrooms, we went to the Hardwood Floor Store mainly because they carry Muskoka/Vintage. Don, the owner, suggested that we consider a less expensive alternative by Somerset, as a quality product with good value for money that would be a more cost effective solution for our bedrooms, considering their less prominent place in our house. In choosing the Somerset flooring we saved ~40% on material costs over our original choice, and we are very happy with the quality and appearance, especially for the price. We were impressed with Don's suggestion of a product that was a better choice for us over the more expensive option. As far as the installation, it went quickly and without surprises. The installer (Mark) was clearly experienced and skilled, professional, neat, and personable. If I was to fault the store for anything, it would be in the stain that was applied to the pine baseboards they installed, which was pretty uneven, in my opinion. I understand pine is difficult to stain, but I have seen better (in our house with the same type of baseboards). On the other hand, the woodwork in our house is pretty dark, which no doubt adds to the difficulty."
