Reviews
"Cozy record store with the coolest owners. The crowd that comes through this place is pretty eclectic, and it’s fun to pop in and see what’s new on the wall."
"Smallest record store in SA but plenty killer records and sound equipment. Overheard some kids asking about sound equipment who didn't really know what they were talking about but the owner was still very patient and friendly with them. Prices aren't any worse than most other record stores and I scored some sick metal records (queensryche/bolt thrower) for almost half of what the cheapest price online is. It's easy to pop in once every 2-3 weeks and glean over the records for 10-15 minutes, highly recommended"
"Great shop in the west side of San Antonio. Great owner and great staff who are are extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help. No matter what level of knowledge you have pertaining to sound, music or equipment these guys Ryan and Paul are always willing to help."
"It’s hard to be the new kid on the block in most circumstances… but in the records store market, it can leave a shop owner feeling bullied right off the playground. So when I happened upon this new-comer on the West Side of San Antonio, I thought I would drop in and check things out. It is easy to miss this place, so you just need to trust your Google maps and park — in this case, it is either right on the side of the road where there is a little alcove by a bus stop (this puts you directly in front of the shop’s door), or across the street at the corner market that has agreed to let patrons park there. Once you are inside you immediately see that the shop has made the best use of their space. Rare, hard to come by records line the far wall and well-stocked bins wrap around the main area to offer vinyl-pickers plenty to sift through. I even found an extremely hard to find Vaperror album there that cannot even be bought on Discogs. So needless to say, I was instantly amazed at what they had there. The pricing is legit, in line with market norms. Do your research, if you think it is expensive... Oh! Did I mention the owner is there to answer questions, or just let you do your personal thing if you prefer not to be bothered? And while you are off perusing the vinyl, this dude can be seen cleaning records. Wait! Not just the vinyl… but even the album covers! Who does that?! I mean, I have never seen this before... but it was very much appreciated, and I definitely liked knowing that fingers would be less likely to have all that vintage funk on them when I was done digging. So, yeah, nice touch with the attention to detail. Solid selection of vintage audio gear, too. Which makes this location a solid find, IMO."
"This place has the best selection I've seen in San Antonio with the best prices, full stop. Good hours, great inventory and an owner who actually has a vast knowledge of music, not just metal or hard rock like San Antonio seems to pigeon-hole itself with. I highly recommend you check this spot out!"
