"Whoever Hannah is needs to loose her job. If you can’t cut a child’s hair without making rude comments and being rude over a 99c sucker- you should not be cutting hair at all. This needs to be addressed as it’s unacceptable and disgusting."
"I have tried this place out twice. If you want a haircut from someone who is learning how to cut hair and you are the practice subject, by all means . I would not recommend it."
"Melanie done a great job on my hair. She even faded my beard with my hair. I know that should be standard, but unfortunately a lot of people forget about that and she was on it. I highly recommend her"
"I used to think it was overrated when people cried about their haircuts, but after my haircut on Friday… I get it. My kids and I have been getting our haircut at Great Clips in Marion, IL for a while now, but after our last haircuts we will not be returning. My 11 year-old son wanted to try something new and get a Mohawk that was long on top and down the middle, with faded sides. We spent hours looking up pictures and when he finally chose the one he wanted, I took him here. He showed the lady (Hannah) what he wanted and lo and behold, she buzz cuts his entire head. We were very surprised and very upset. My 6 year-old daughter went next, and unfortunately she had the same lady. With it just being a trim, we thought it wouldn’t be a big deal.. wrong. She chopped her bangs down to a mere two inches long. YIKES! I waited a little while and then went in to get my haircut. A different woman did my hair and I LOVED it. I don’t know her name, but she is an older lady with black hair. She’s phenomenal. When it started getting longer I went back in for a trim. Once again, I drew the short straw and got stuck with Hannah who couldn’t even blend my hair together properly, so I had to go home and finish it myself. She got the back fixed, which was really all I needed so I wasn’t too upset. The mistake I made after this point was coming back a few months later, because lo and behold… I got her again. Worst. Luck. Ever. Everyone else was busy and the wait was over an hour long, so I sucked it up and let her do it. Since I was able to fix it last time, I thought it would be no big deal. That was my final mistake. I showed her the picture I wanted and she looked at it for half a second and told me to sit down. She spent the entire time laughing and joking around with the other stylists and constantly leaving me for minutes at a time to do so. She soaked my hair with her spray and chopped away without asking my preferred lengths on either the front, sides, or back. I wanted to keep the front the length it was, but of course that was the first thing she cut. She did, however, continuously listen to and intervene with the other stylists and customers conversations, none of which involved me at any point in time during my one hour long haircut. I’m not the most social in these types of settings, but being ignored was ten times worse. At the end of it all, she said “does it feel better? Great” and then removed the covering and walked me to the counter. I didn’t get to review my haircut and “okay” it like I have anytime and anywhere else. I left with my hair soaking wet and oily from the spray she used, and cut an entire three inches shorter than what I requested. My hair is now too short for anyone to fix. I was so distraught that I cried on the way home, where I had to immediately shower and blow dry my hair to even access the situation. I used to love Great Clips for the quality and timely manner that I could get in, but I will not be returning any further. And unless you’re a guy who likes basic buzz cuts, then you probably shouldn’t either. Book ahead and go to a real salon."
"I wasn’t going to complain but I got home and my hair was choppy and not one length like I asked. The girl that did my hair first was amazing until her coworker took over. Not to mention this girl took a client who was in line after me. Putting me back from what I needed to do that day. I’m so frustrated and mad. I can’t even wear my hair down it’s so messed up……"
