"Noble Pines look really good. Plenty in stock."
"The staff there was extremely helpful!"
"Flower flats were better than menards. Menards were wilted from frost I believe. Very helpful people. Learned about 5 off 50 for joining garden club on website."
"Don't buy houseplants or potting soil here they may be infested with fungus gnats. We bought three plants in May and sterile potting soil from Home Depot. Used new pots. A week later, my house was full of fungus gnats and so were the plants. The bugs had hatched. We threw everything out, waited three months to make sure residual bugs were gone from my house. Re purchased everything since I did not have my receipt from prior purchase. Now we're about $100 into this project. I added cinnamon, diatomaceous earth, and peroxide to the new soil as advised by plant experts. I put gravel on top of soil. One week later, gnats flying all over my house. I spoke to Home Depot corporate and asked them to notify local vendor that the plants are infested. Never heard a word back. Done with Home Depot. One characteristic of these gnats is that they fly up your nose, seeking carbon dioxide. Think that's fun?"
"Moved to Crystal Lake almost two years ago. I bought a fixer-upper. I started shopping at Menards but the Generic tools kept falling apart and the last time I went the clerk was a bit rude and wouldn't exchange/refund the broken tool. I started going to Home Depot. They are always friendly to me & take a sincere interest in my projects which are many. The Electrical guy spent a great deal of time helping me with my ceiling fan & light. He also spent a long time explaining the wiring, conduit, etc.The woman in paint is always cheerful and knowledgeable when it comes to the mural I'm putting in one room. The garden center was very nice and helpful the first year when I planted my arbor vitae trees. I have had a few times where I knew where the part was better than the employee but I was in the store nearly every day the first year. I did have a little trouble renting a floor sander but they definitely compensated me & smoothed things out."
