"Very touristy but you can purchase some beautiful jewelry directly from the makers. Everyone I spoke to was very kind and friendly. It's easy to walk around in the area, I felt safe and there are lots of food options. There are mostly higher end shopping options. Lots of connecting malls just in case it snows (like it did for me!). Many museums/galleries and a couple churches to see as well. Cute spot but not worth staying for more than a few hours."
"If you never seen the Santa Fe plaza during Christmas I would highly recommend you do. The plaza it's self is very beautiful. At Christmas it's magical. Grab a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the gorgeous lights and the holiday atmosphere. Simply beautiful. Merry Christmas and a happy New year to all who read this post."
"Not bad. Smaller than I was lead to believe. All the restaurants we tried were very good. Couple more tourist shops would’ve been nice. Wasn’t really sure about the quality of the jewelry in the shop so I didn’t buy any. It was fun to experience for the first time. Day trip is all that’s needed."
"Cute place to walk around and visit various art galleries. I truly enjoyed all those beautiful arts. There are many vendors selling handmade stuff in the plaza as well. Very cute. Also, great place to drink afternoon tea with friends."
"Santa Fe Plaza is quite small. It would be fairly easy to access everything on foot if you stay at one of the hotels downtown. Lovely food, shops, jewelry. Beware of the cosmetic sales people, they are very persuasive/pushy and are in the street trying to lure you in. They were kind but high pressure AND all sales ARE FINAL, but they dont tell you that). It's a wonderful city to visit. I would recommend La Boca resturant for an afternoon of wine and a wonderful food experience."
