"Renee and I have been shopping for Marvin windows. Salesman, Darrell Janis has been very helpful. Fischer Lumber has some very nice working window displays. Darrell provided us with three Marvin books that explain the three grades. I grew up in East Alton. When I was very young, my dad would take me to the original Fischer Lumber store across from Clark Boat and Motor. Fischer Lumber has always provided us with quality products. I've always found them to be very honest and helpful. Windows by Marvin, bathroom cabinets by Birtch are never cheap. You get what you pay for. Fischer orders the products we want - they have always cooperated by warehousing items until they can be installed. I've ordered several panels of sheetrock and they delivered them within 1 and 1/2 hours. Yep! Saves me time - I'd rather do business with a local company that truly appreciates my business. AFTER SALE UPDATE: We had some issues with our Marvin Windows - The issues were related to installation and not quality of Marvin products. Darrell came out to our house, examined our windows and offered advice that solved our problems. Darrell knows more about correct installation and troubleshooting issues than your ordinary salesman because he installed windows himself and understands how windows are manufactured. Darrell understands things that can go wrong (and how to correct those issues). SUMMARY: Marvin Windows are high quality products. I emailed their company and received a quick response. The result was Marvin reached out to Darrell Janis at Fischer Lumber Company. Marvin sent me a box with ten side gaskets and then "fuzzy caterpillar strip seals" to replace gaskets damaged due to improper installation - no charge! Darrell is a gentleman - Marvin is a leader in customer support. You get what you pay for. I didn't seek competitive bids for new windows from other companies - I have confidence that Fischer Lumber Company sells the best products and stands by those products after the sale. Fischer and Marvin are highly recommended by our family. Thank you Darrell and Marvin Window Company."

I'm not a professional, just a DIY'er but they always treat you like you are their biggest account.. very knowledgeable, offer advice when asked and never cop an attitude. Prices are very competitive if not better than most box stores and MUCH better product - I will happily pay more for the service and quality materials plus the bonus of not spending hours in a store searching for a straight piece of lumber - keep up the good work and folks, SHOP LOCAL!"
