Coming here was the worst decision, I’m never coming back and going to find a place that hires qualified hairstylists."

"A slightly frustrating visit that was redeemed by my stylist. So I've been attempting to get a haircut for probably 3 weeks now and been unable to. With my works schedule getting something scheduled anywhere is so hard to do so I typically would do walk in places like great clips. I've tried going to several different great clips recently and they've all been extremely overloaded every time I go. The past 3 weeks I've been turned away from walk-ins or unable to check in online at several locations from Macomb to Galesburg to Peoria. Finally yesterday I was able to walk-in and check-in, in Peoria, at this location which made me a bit hopeful. They said it would be about a 55 minute wait and I'd get a text about 15 minutes before my turn. That 55 minutes turned into about 1 hour and 40 minutes before I got the text so about a 2 hour wait before I was up for my turn. I think that may be an overall Great Clips issue with insufficient staffing or something along those lines as it's happened at multiple locations that I've been to now. Thankfully once I sat in the chair my hairstylist was as nice as could be and did a fantastic job with my cut. I'm typically not a major talker but they made it super comfortable and enjoyable to converse, which I don't know if I could say that about any haircut experience I've had."

"My mother just left the salon crying. Great Clips should not advertise women stylings if they do not know how to do them. I did not get the lady’s name but she did not tell my mom until AFTER the botched haircut that she did not know how to layer women’s hair. Another stylist later had to help her and gave her LESSONS on how to cut her hair, not much could be done though. It is not okay, by any means, for her to be taught how to do it during the process. My mother’s hair is not a guinea pig for her to test her skills on! The woman did not even apologize for ruining her hair, only the one who tried to help her did. My mother has a special event coming up and her beautiful, ethnic, long, curly/wavy hair is ruined. She is completely and utterly devastated especially because she could not see the final result without her glasses on until it was too late. She is now considering getting hair extensions! A woman’s hair is not something to be taking chances on. The lady should have been up front that she doesn’t know how to cut hair like that, then this would even have been an issue, especially considering that my mother had not had bad experiences there before. She had the audacity to blame my mother’s thick hair and the amount of it when the issue was clearly her skill set. I am so angry, I went in and said what happened to my mother’s hair!? The lady said “Don’t get stressed out, we just went a little shorter than she wanted but I blended it and it’s okay.” NO IT’S NOT! How could I not be stressed, I work in customer service and I understand not wanting to cause a scene so I left, mad, but her hair is literally lopsided, choppy, and fried…HOW CAN I NOT BE STRESSED!? My mother is SOBBING!!! I personally have had a bad experience there myself and now my mother and I will not be returning there ever again. How Could This Happen!? The lady should be fired."

"This hair salon has done a great job cutting my hair. I enjoy the girls laughter and conversations every time I visit. I've had my haircut at a few different locations and this one I've enjoyed the most. Their hair products and solutions seem a bit high in price but they're amazing products. Thanks so much for taking the time to cut my hair with my expectations.."
