"They added a driver on my policy without my consent which somehow raised the rate from $247 a month to almost $1500 and then auto drafted my account all without notice. They refused to refund the amount saying that the auto draft agreement i signed gave them permission to raise the premium. I had to deal with this through my banks fraud department. I don't know if what they did is illegal but it is definitely acting in bad faith. To hell with Flo and everyone else at Progressive."

"Don’t do business with Progressive! They just cancelled my policy at 1am without giving me any reason. Then I called in this morning and found it was because they needed to confirm something with me and I was told they don’t call their customers when they need anything. They didn’t email or send anything in the mail. In fact, I called them on 2/6 because I had questions about my policy and their horrible customer service reps didn’t tell me there was anything they need to confirm. So now they cancelled my policy and keeping my money. Progressive is a scam. They had no problem calling and harassing me when I wanted a quote but couldn’t call me when they needed to confirm any information."

"I would give no stars for this company progressive. They claim to be reasonable but it's a lie. They up your rate considerably and blame it on the drivers in the area. We all buy insurance for ourselves. We have a great record and have had insurance for many many years. This last raise in rates is ridiculous. $80 more a month for no claims, tickets or accidents. Don't use progressive, it's not in the people business."
