"As a mostly conservative straight male, I know little of beauty products such as peel-off nail glaze, charcoal infused conditioning water, pre-poos and the list goes on and on. The staff at this location is not only enthusiastic and unbiased, but also very knowledgeable about the entirety of the product line. They were able to answer all of my questions, and then some! They never gave me the impression I was burdening them, as I have felt was the case in similar situations at other businesses. What originally was an experience I was not looking forward to ended up being not only pleasant, but also informative. I picked up some extra products I hadn't anticipated procuring at the suggestion of a staff member based on my original needs, and wow! She almost won't believe it was me who had got them for her! Thank you to all the staff at Sally Beauty of Dubuque for not only making my recent experience an absolute smash hit, but also for the genuine kindness and patience shown that all people should express to one and other. I'd be a fool if I were to shop anywhere else when in the need for these types of products."

"I bought clippers and guards from here so that I could learn how to cut hair because I am a college student trying to earn money to pay for school. After watching a friend I decided that it would be best for me to go a different route. So I tried to return the clippers and guards and when the employee looked at them she claimed that they had hair on them and couldn’t take them back. I had not used these clippers and hadn’t even opened the guards. She then claimed that my “Mom” (who lives across the country) came in and tried to return the clippers. So now I have waisted my money that I have little of on these clippers that I can’t even use because they don’t want to take them back…. I will never ever use this Sally’s beauty again and I will never ever suggest it to anyone again."
