"Tim has cut my dad’s hair, my sons hair while he’s in Iowa, and while I was in town for a week to see my family from Dallas he trimmed up my Mohawk. You’ll find all good vibes in this shop, friendly people, an aesthetic that is comfortable while being both clean & unique, and you can’t beat walk-in-only flat-rate pricing. Plenty of places to sit & chat even if you aren’t there for a haircut, Tim had great podcast recommendations for my drive back, and overall a great group of people. Highly recommended."
"Great atmosphere nice employees. And get this Free Pizza and Beer or Soda! I think I went in on the right day. Also my cut looks real professional. Very pleased. FYI cash only. ATM available on site."
"Went to 2 great clips couldn't get in. Walked into here and got right in and couldn't have been more happy! Place is so nice inside, decorated neat, tall ceilings, bright. Very fresh lively feel to the place. And even better the stylist are top notch.cut my 4 and 6 year Olds hair perfectly and took their time to do it right. Kids even got comments on how nice their hair looked at the store shopping afterwards"
"Great atmosphere and even better service. I've been several times now and it's been great every single time. The no appointments part worried me a little to begin with, but the system works really well and I have no complaints."
"The short version: +My three teenaged sons will be Tim’s clients at The Shop FOR LIFE! +Phenomenal atmosphere and gifted barber! +Complementary beverage while-you wait +Walk-ins and cash-pay (ATM on-site) +About 10-min per person “wait” for a haircut +EXCEPTIONALLY TALENTED barber, Tim The many-details version: Yesterday was our first time at The Shop. My seventh-grade son, AH, found “a nearby barbershop” and wanted his hair cut by a barber (not someone at a hair salon). He showed me the highly-rated reviews and I agreed to take him. When we arrived, there were nine guys ahead of us with one barber who we later found out was the owner named Tim. I figured we’d hang out waiting until AH got tired of waiting. He NEVER did! I got to observe how things work at The Shop for a while, but it wasn’t for nearly as long as I’d expected. While waiting for AH’s turn, I had to make a quick trip to pick up another son, JA, from work. When JA and I returned, AH had just been called for his turn. It had only been 90 minutes from the time we walked in for Tim to give the preceding NINE GUYS EXCEPTIONAL haircuts! About 10 minutes per person was unbelievably fast. After watching Tim transform guy after guy with exceptionally perfect haircuts, JA wanted to stay and get his hair cut, too. There were still five guys ahead of him. We contentedly waited for just over 40 minutes (one guy just needed his edges cleaned up) for JA’s turn. He was Tim’s last client of the day. True to every cut that I’d witnessed in about two hours and fifty minutes, JA’s haircut was PERFECT; the best he’d ever had! Both AH and JA said they only want Tim to cut their hair from now on. How many teenage males do you know who would choose to wait behind nine or five people for a haircut? I never imagined that mine would have chosen to wait. THAT reinforces my belief of what a special place The Shop is AND what phenomenal haircuts Tim gives! He is an artist! I believe he has about 24 years of experience, so he is an absolute pro at his profession! Tim focused on transforming the person’s hair who was in the chair in front of him and did not force meaningless chit-chat. No time wasted! He was professionally friendly with guys who initiated conversations, too. Tim was amazingly perfect! The atmosphere of The Shop is one that I’d never experienced! It has eclectic decor of an automotive service shop. It’s very interesting and tasteful! It definitely played a part in the patience of the waiting customers! There are endless items of “art” around The Shop to attract attention and create an atmosphere of a relaxing destination, not simply a place for a haircut. Tim’s background music could not have been better! He had a few televisions mounted on the walls… one with Classic black-and-white shows like “Green Acres” and “Andy Griffith,” another with music continually playing, and a third with children’s entertainment (possibly “Transformers” and “Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles” playing in silent mode). To top it all off, Tim provided complimentary, self-serve chilled beverages for waiting customers. That was the final touch I noticed for The Shop’s WOW factor! Tim obviously takes great pride in his shop and the services he provides. It seems that he has thought of and planned for every detail! At the risk of creating so much demand that I won’t be able to get my three sons’ haircuts very quickly, I absolutely recommend The Shop barbershop! I will happily take my three sons to The Shop for their haircuts, relax and wait for their turns while enjoying the atmosphere, music, a beverage (water, pop or maybe an unfiltered pale ale—I think that was yesterday’s adult beverage option on tap), and chatting with the boys or others. I will take a deck of cards to play if we go again on a busy Saturday."
