"This memorial is a hole-in-the-wall place, I didn't realize the significance of this area initially, but it eventually came to me, as I admired the effort put into the area. There's a nice fenced angel sculpture, a large commemorative sign, two stone benches, one fenced shady tree, a maintained trashcan, a large mural, some defunct display lights, and finally it hit me; if you know Amber alerts then you know Amber and this is her memorial site. On a related note, it seems like the city and community have been building this area for years. First, it started off as just a memorial tree, which they eventually fenced, then stone benches were added. In 2013, artist Patch painted the mural. Sometime around 2017, the metal angel sculpture appeared, it had no fencing, and it was tilted on a much higher post as though it were flying. In 2019, artist Patch returned to retouch the mural with his friend Feigenbaum. However, in 2020, the sculpture was changed, and it now sits upright at almost ground level within a newly added fence. Also, the commemorative sign has also been moved thoughout the years. Finally, the most recent addition, are the offerings from many visitors. Street view from previous years shows the history for some of these changes."

"She deserves better then having a memorial next to dumpsters. Should be cleaned up and made more memorable. Very sad story"
