"I've been with them since I was 16 years old. I switched to a new provider because my rates kept steadily increasing. This matched a few fender benders so I went along with it, but after several years and a verbal agreement of a bill decrease, I was shocked to see an increase instead. The employees at this location maintained a tone of frustration with me while I was attempting to negotiate my bill downward as we had previously verbally agreed. In my final month patroning this service, they wouldn't discuss anything about my insurance because they said their computers are down. This went all the way until my insurance elapsed. Honestly I was shocked when I went to a different provider and found out I could be paying half of what I was paying at American family. They billed me for $55 insurance for the one day I actually canceled after I already had coverage with another company. Talk about petty and uncaring."

"I just logged on to get American Family's contact info for some insurance questions. I saw the reviews, and wondered to myself why haven't I ever thought to leave one, I guess the old saying is true you rarely hear the good stuff, but always the bad. Here is a well deserved long overdue review. I have been with American Family for over 30 years, and have dealt with Jennifer & staff ever since they took over. I can honestly say that I have never dealt with nicer people. I certainly have never dealt with someone as knowledgeable about insurance as Jennifer. With Jennifer, you ask a question you get a straight answer. If they aren't 100% sure of the answer, they find it out for you and in a timely manner. If you need to talk with someone they are easily reachable. Claims processing is unbelievably fast. I deal with them on my home, shop, all the family auto's, and more and I have never once been disappointed yet. I've gone in and sat with Jennifer for a few insurance audits and every time I've done that I have come out of it saving money. I'm proud to highly recommend this business because first and foremost they take care of business, and again, you'll never find nicer people to deal with."

"Called at the beginning of the month looking for some savings on current policies. I was informed that my car insurance was going up in July, even though I had never made a claim. After finding a different insurance company I called to cancel my AmFam policies. I told the girl who answered my call to cancel my policy on the day it was to renew. I was still charged for the month. When I spoke with the agent herself she informed me that they were charging me for one day and then issueing the refund. Buyer beware!! Not only are you over charged for what you pay for , the company and its affiliates don't care."
