"I was working with the Texas VA Land Board for over a year trying to buy land and I decided to go with Texas Farm Credit. It's a good thing I did because the Texas VA Land Board told me I had to reapply since they had taken so long (like what???) but I already had my loan in process with Texas Farm Credit and they closed our loan in ONE month. ONE. Absolute professionals. Highly recommend."
"My wife and I have always dreamed of owning a piece of raw land. This dream became a reality with help from Texas Farm Credit in Uvalde, Texas. Upon our first call, we spoke with Jess Yeaman (branch manager) who was extremely attentive and listened to our needs. My wife and I had been warned beforehand, that, any land or real estate purchase could be extremely lengthy due to recent demand and a surge in real estate sales. However, Jess was always available for questions and even worked with us remotely while we traveled up north to see family. We found Jess to be an excellent communicator, listener, and always on task for his customer. Because of his attention to detail and timely responses, we did not lose an opportunity to own the exact property that we wanted--which we are enjoying today! Call me old-fashioned, but on closing day, Jess Yeaman was there to shake our hand, in person, and to answer any questions we had to help us close the deal. Thank you, Jess, and Texas Farm Credit for helping make our dream a reality!"
"Jess helped us purchase our land in Rocksprings and it was a wonderful experience. He kept us up to speed on the process the whole time. We were able to close the transaction in a timely manner. I would absolutely recommend Jess and Texas Farm Credit"
"I had a spectacular experience working with Texas Farm Credit in Uvalde and with Jess Yeaman. Jess was very helpful with then entire process of getting a loan for a land purchase. He gave me the best rates and was genuine about making sure I got the loan that was best for me, not for their profit margins. He advised me of the best loan for me that would save me the most on interest. There were several unforeseen challenges that cropped up during the process including a change I had made with a trust and the big TX ice storm. Jess was able to work around these to get my loan closed just in time for me to leave the country where I wouldn't have been able to sign documents. Jess and TX Farm Credit were responsive, helpful, respectful, and professional. I have never had a better experience with a bank. I would go out of my way to work with Jess and his team again."
"Had a loan initially we took back in 2014 for 80 acres +/- ; we paid off the 15 yr note in just over 5 years. Had a chance to buy an adjacent property (10 more acres) and expand our operation. These clowns not only wanted us to put up the 10 acres as collateral, but also to secure the load with the original 80 acres!!! Ended up going with a different local lender, and promptly paid off the new 5 year loan in about 14 months. One individual I spoke with tried to convince me that the reason they wanted the other parcel used as collateral was because they didn't feel ten acres "represented a serious effort at agriculture", I guess ignoring or not caring that we were expanding. To add insult to injury, they DON'T report to the any of the credit bureaus (allegedly to "protect" their other borrowers from appearing overextended) but they do run a prospective borrower's credit through those same agencies to which they refuse to report. I will NEVER consider these people as a lender, and am always ready to tell folks I deal with not to either. STAY AWAY!!!"
