"Was so excited when I first learned about them - but all the excitement turned to disappointment. Wish I was lying about our experiences. First time we went there was April 1st of 2023, the crispy pata was great, sisig was good but the rest of the food were “meh”. Lumpia got more wrapper than filling, and probably the saddest halo-halo I had ever eaten. Service was awful-and somehow I guessed bias depending on how you look and dress up (we work as handymen and went there with our work clothes). Second time we went there was during one of their “Kamayan” last Oct 27 and even brought some of our friends from Italy to try Filipino food, and give them another try/chance. But again we’re met with disappointment - some of the items they were promoting at their social media for the Kamayan wasn’t even served. And oh, did I mention the very rude waitstaff - Sam; shouting at us the whole time, as if we’re at fault that they haven’t made the table yet on the supposed time it started. "Authentic Filipino taste! We love their chicken inasal, pansit, and lupia! Sisig Nachos is new to us but worth a try, and it tastes good too! Crews are friendly, efficient, and hospitable. Great ambiance and enough space—clean, most importantly! We'll definitely be back for more yummy Filipino foods!"
"My family and I had lunch in Kain Tayo restaurant, and we had a great experience. Sim greeted us with a smile and gave us excellent services. The menu offered the most popular Filipino dishes with reasonable prices. The food was great and delicious. The food serving was just the right amount. Adobo and the egg rolls were my kids' favorite and comparable to their lola's cooking. The atmosphere is contemporary, clean, and inviting. The karaoke was a plus! We recommend this place."
"I moved to STL a couple of weeks ago, and each day, I take it as it goes and explore every nook of this city, whether it be coffee shops, restaurants, or parks. I found this place recently as I was craving Filipino food. I saw that it was only a few minutes drive! I visited this restaurant, which was not too busy when I arrived. I got seated close to the front entrance (I had a full view of the dining area!). The server was super friendly and attentive to me as a guest. I ordered two entrees and a dessert. I ordered bistek and lechon kawali; I ordered leche flan for the dessert, and then I had calamansi juice (this is a must!) The bistek was perfectly cooked with enough onions, beef, and a little sauce to cover your white rice- so good! As for the lechon kawali was fried enough to be crispy but still not too fried to be hard to chew and eat. The calamansi juice was so sweet, but it was alright to flush down the strong taste of my meals. My Filipino food craving was satisfied. I ended my dinner with the typical Filipino version of leche flan (omg, it was so, so good, just how I remembered it back home). This restaurant will be one of my go-to places for Filipino food during my stay here in STL. I highly recommend this place for whoever wants to try good traditional Filipino food in the STL!"
"We stopped in and the staff was very friendly. There was lots of room and they will reserve a table if you call. The food was delicious and fresh. Highly recommended!"
