"We were denied to stay at the Best Western Macomb after making tea for an upcoming stay for December of 2023 due to an incident that happened 2 years ago. Here’s what happened….We stayed at the best Western Macomb in December 2021 as we do every Christmas when visiting my mother-in-law. I was disturbed to see what looked like black mold in the shower fan. When corporate sent me a survey I enclosed pictures and filled it out hoping that they would fix the issue. This year I called to again book a room giving them the benefit of the doubt that they would have fixed the issue. They blackballed my husband and I from ever staying there again. According to Best Western Rewards, franchisee owners have the right to stop people who have smoked in the room or something else that they didn’t like from staying there. I got put on the list for reporting their black potential mold. There are five children in this family all who have grandchildren and all who have stayed at this hotel in the past. They have lost the entire family’s business!"

"Can’t believe Macomb, Illinois had the most ADA friendly facilities I’ve stayed at. Check out the parking lot. Plenty of space on each side of the handicapped spaces and NO CURBS! (Curbs are my new sworn enemy). Also, I didn’t get a picture of the shower but it was the best shower ever, ADA accessible or not. Spacious with a comfortable stream of water. Staff was friendly even though we drank all their evening coffee and loitered in the lobby for hours with the family we were visiting."
