"East store manager gave misleading information about the online return policy. First stating that they as Atom Cycling don’t accept online purchase returns (even when TREK customer service asked me to return the bike to the store that I picked it up in the first place, which was this store). I insisted and then he changed the version saying that they would accept the return but it had to be in NEW condition, I corrected and requested him to check the policy where it says “you can return any online order in LIKE NEW condition within 30 days of the purchase”. He ignored me, searching for any flaw on the bike and obviously as this being a mountain bike he found a 5mm scratch on the lower part of it and again refused to accept it. After several minutes of discussing with the manager I got frustrated and left. Contacted Trek customer support, sent them the bike’s pictures and after a couple of days of them trying to convince the store manager of accepting the bike, they were able to and I finally returned it. I guess he was requesting TREK for some credit for his store which I understand but… Wouldn’t be easier for everybody that the manager asked me to come back another day while he speaks with customer service to check what’s the process he should follow? Instead of denying the service, giving misleading information and make a customer get frustrated…"
