"My wife and I heartily recommend the Undiscovered Italy trip offered by Sofia Travel. As the trip organizer Adam Sparks aptly puts it, the trip is Italy 2.0, meaning for those who have already seen the major cities of Rome, Florence, and Venice. The itinerary was excellent, with trips to Pompeii and Greek temples interspersed with boat rides to islands in the Bay of Naples and visits to water buffalo and olive oil production facilities. The food was generally superb and the accommodations were high caliber. The key attribute was Adam Sparks. He does not just organize trips; he personally leads them. That is rare among travel companies. We often tire of a guide after a couple of days, but not so with Adam. He clearly loves being a guide, as he enthusiastically provided great insights into the history of the areas we visited, and was knowledgeable enough to answer most of our questions. We never felt we were hearing a canned speech. He also kept our group well informed of logistics and adeptly handled the inevitable small problems that arose along the way."
