"I thought my rear speakers were not working: after I played with the settings ,since I had time to kill , I found out they actually did work.. My settings were off because my son had borrowed the car and I finally figured it out by fumbling around with it.. I had made the appointment and out of courtesy I went ahead and went in there to tell them that I was a dork and I figured out my own problem. He wanted to look at it anyway and I was told that the front left speaker was not working. He said he could check it out and it would take a 1/2 hour and $45. He messed around with the front door, plugged in another speaker ( which worked fine ) but still insisted on tracing down everywhere wire and then testing the old speaker, stopping constantly to give me Trivia which I did not need on speakers and stereos. He bad mouthed every manufacturer and competitor. Very negative overall. He played around so long that it took an hour to do the job that he told me would take a 1/2 hour . He did say in the end that the speaker was bad and put it in the back seat. He could not replace it with available speakers in his stock. Long story short if he would have just done the job instead of stopping to talk all the time and try to impress with his knowledge it would have been a 1/2 hour job. $45. He did inform me about my entire system in the car , helpful information. I don't know that I will bring it back to him. He did play with the settings and the system sounded better, but I could have done that myself after leaving. He needs to focus on his job and not impress people with his knowledge of speaker components that had no impact what so ever on my issue. He also spent probably 7 to 10 minutes discussing his thoughts on covid and vaccinations.. I told him I did not want to discuss any of that yet he felt the need to complete his sermon on his beliefs. I definitely left feeling that he had overcharged me $45. Unfortunate, as they do seem like a nice couple and I believe he probably does good work. His time management skills are poor though and the customer should not have to pay the price."
