"Honestly...shocked! We were seated right away. This place was pretty busy on a Saturday at about 2:30. Our server took the time to tell us about the specials and give us advice about the menu. We weren't expecting much. Best burgers hands down. My husband had fries and said that they were good and I had cole slaw that was amazing. The prices were very good, too. The service was great. The only thing I will say is to bring a sweater or sweatshirt- the ac was very chilly and breezy which is nice when it is hot out. We will definitely be back."

"This was the only place with brunch time openings on open table and I was nervous because reviews were not great. All staff was nice, our waitress Amber was very attentive, and one staff member asked permission first then openes the garage door behind our seats so one whole wall was a screen to the nice outdoor weather. Everyone enjoyed their food, multiple people got a berry salad, one lobster roll and I had carnitas."

"Staff was nice, but food was disappointing. Clam chowder tasted like doctored up can soup. I’ve never had red peppers in clam chowder before. The fish fry was greasy and thickly covered in batter. I will say the fry’s were good. Definitely won’t be back."

"Actually ate at the Midway Grille, Where to begin??!! Hostess was pleasant enough but seemed bored& must not have been feeling well, kept coughing all over the place INCLUDING ON THE SILVERWARE BUNDLES…YUCK!! Our server Tania, not much of a server… took & brought out drink order, came back in a reasonable time for our food order & that was the last time we saw her until I went up to the hostess w/ a complaint. Our party ordered the Turkey Club & fries, Midway burger & fries, both were really good!! I Ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai $22. for 3 shrimp on a bed of noodles/ veg that was SO SALTY I couldn’t eat it & REALLY 3 SHRIMP ON AN ENTREE??!!! VERY DISAPPOINTING"

"Such a limited and lousy selection of lousy food. Italian beef and the fried chicken may be the only okay (not great) items on the menu. Who makes nachos out of potato chips minus any flavor of nachos or use of their ingredients? The soggy concoction is basically just a hot sauce mix. The Italian sub is a bitter mash of uncomplimentary cheese, and you certainly don't taste any of the minute avocado they put in it (the one thing that could save the SMALL sub). The pizzas are only so-so. Not much else to choose from. Considering that food comps are the only comps the casino is handing out (and why the hell is that still the case? Why are there no cash play comps? Why is the comp rate so little for any play level compared to other IL casinos? Why is there basically little to no comp differential between player tiers for their player club? Why is there not even any online access for players to their gaming accounts. Not surprising to this one that the "Rockford" casino (is Hard Rock really too embarrassed to put its name on it?) is only taking in about as little revenue as the Metropolis, IL and Alton, IL casinos, and that its revenue continues to drop each month since opening instead of growing. Won't be surprised if Hard Rock exercises some contract term to abandon Rockford altogether and not built a "permament cssino."
