Stagecoach Pharmacy

"I first started working with Stagecoach in late November/early December because they were a local pharmacy that had a needed (yet hard to obtain) medication in stock. I've only had my prescriptions filled with a large retailer and was pleasantly surprised at the friendly customer service I received from the Stagecoach staff. While I do live in the Austin area, I don't live close to Kyle at all, but still didn't mind the drive. In early January, I needed to refill the prescription and was told the medication was out of stock and due to pricing changes, even if they could fill it, it would be quite expensive, to the point of being cost prohibitive. The man I spoke with gave me a few recommendations, which included transferring the prescription to another pharmacy. He even told me to give them a call if I needed help with the transfer. I then went online and transferred the prescription to a large retail pharmacy. (Not my preference, but availability took precedence.) After a few days, the retail pharmacy called and said they had tried to reach Stagecoach a few times and were unable to speak with the pharmacist. They suggested that I try instead. I called and left a voicemail and never got a response from Stagecoach. Today, nearly a month later, I called Stagecoach again to see if they would transfer the prescription and the man I spoke with said that the requesting pharmacy would need to do that. (I'm pretty sure it was the same man I spoke with last month.) I explained that the requesting pharmacy had tried before and couldn't get a response and had asked me to try instead. He reiterated that the requesting pharmacy would need to do the work since they would be receiving the payment for the prescription and that he wasn't going to sit on hold for 30 minutes with another pharmacy in order to give them money. He also said that in his opinion, if this pharmacy was giving me the run around then maybe they weren't the right pharmacy. I understand that Stagecoach is a business, not a charity and don't begrudge them for not wanting to do work that doesn't bring them money. However, today's conversation left a very sour taste in my mouth. I did the very thing that was recommended and your staff are now unwilling to help. In addition, the implication that I made a poor choice in selecting a different pharmacy was completely unnecessary. Hopefully today was just an off day and not indicative of their current approach to customer service."

"PLEASE read my review! I was so impressed with Stagecoach Pharmacy in Kyle that I was compelled to write this, my first ever, online review. My ophthalmologist prescribed 4 separate eye drops for my upcoming cataract surgeries. Three of the four medications were brand name medications, and were not available in generic. Only one of the three brand name medications was going to be covered by my prescription drug plan. Before contacting Stagecoach Pharmacy, I priced all four medications through my prescription drug plan, and also through a local retail pharmacy, and both pharmacies quoted me over $800. I was told by my doctor’s office that the people over at Stagecoach Pharmacy in Kyle would research my insurance coverage, as well as additional consumer coupons, in order to get me the best price available for my prescriptions. The cost that Stagecoach Pharmacy quoted me for all four prescription eye drops was less than $300.00, a savings of $500! My experience with the guys at Stagecoach - Ryan, Tony and Leo - was so pleasant. Rarely have I encountered such courteous and kind customer service. They went more than the extra mile for me! "I have been using Stagecoach for almost 2 years now, and I have found their prices for my particular prescription to be extremely reasonable, and the service provided by the employees is excellent. I can make a telephone call on one afternoon and have my order received in the mail within 48 hours. That is truly amazing. Plus, the employees are always friendly and helpful. Five stars."

"I love this Pharmacy. Last year, we learned about this pharmacy from our eye doctor as the eye drops for my husband was very expensive and they were able to get it for us with a way much cheaper price. Then I had gotten another prescription for me that saved me a a lot of money. I just call it in and they mail it to my home in a few days. Be aware that they try to find the best price for you but there are times, that the insurance will not cover a specific medicine and that Stagecoach cannot offer a better price as it will not benefit the pharmacy as it will cost them. Try to understand that it is the insurance company at fault, not Stagecoach. They will do their best to help you find the best savings for you and your family.
