"I had high hopes for this salon, since it was far and away the best-reviewed salon in town. Judging by the photos they shared, it seemed cleaner and more up-do-date than competing establishments. I’m new to the area and quite particular about my appearance, and I hoped to find a stylist who could replicate the style my previous stylist had done. Long story short, the stylist who worked with me seemed inexperienced—her movements were stilted and awkward, as if she hadn’t been in the business for very long. After I showed her a picture of what I was looking for, she started cutting my hair right away, without wetting or conditioning it first. This seemed like an unusual approach to me, but since I’m no expert, I went along with it. At her prompting, I tried to coach her in how much to cut and where. But I don’t exactly know how to tell a stylist how to do their job, so there was only so much I could explain myself or ask her to do. My previous stylist had matched the pictures I brought with me in a way that looked clean and professional and flattered my face. This stylist seemed only able to clip wherever I suggested, without bringing her own expertise into the task, leaving me exhausted and flustered. I can’t precisely explain what I think she did wrong—I don’t know anything about being a stylist—but I feel awfully unhappy with the experience and the result. Judging by the reviews online, this salon seems to be the best this town has to offer, which is disheartening. Next time I’ll make the half-hour drive to see my old stylist."

"The ladies who work and run this place are fabulous! I was very concerned about getting my son's hair cut in shoppe because of COVID-19, but I wasn't going to attempt to cut it myself (it was a disaster last time I tried; as a mom I feel the shame will follow me forever, haha). We waited in our car until someone retrieved us, and as soon as we walked in the door our hairdresser gave my son a fresh (tiny) kid's mask, and took us to her station. I was so worried because these ladies have to be in close proximity to their customers but they put my mind at ease very quickly with their safety precautions. These ladies are definitely professional (and quite funny!) This was my son's first time at a hair salon and really our first time in public since quarantine. The stylist made sure we were comfortable and set to work. In minutes, she had turned the moppy mess on top of my son's head into a clean and stylish quiff; it looks really good! (And only $15; can't beat that!) I'm going to bring him back here from now on. If you need a little boy's hair cut, these ladies are who you should go to. I am so pleased and my son loves his hair! Thank you, Head Lines! You ladies are taking a huge risk at the behest of your community and we thank you! "I just took my 2 young daughters there, the hairdressers were great! It was my 4 year old first haircut..her stylist was Michelle who was fantastic! She had a great experience and even left with a cute certificate and a lock of her curly hair. I definitely recommend this place!"
