"I have been seeing Dr. Owens for my workers comp case for a year. I have never had any problems or issues with any of the nurses and receptionists. The staff that work in the office are knowledgeable if I have any questions and have advocated for me several times with my adjuster."
"Dr.Owens spoke to me as if I was a child. Porchia the MA also was not kind. I had no choice but to bring my one year old child with me but the way they talked to my baby with such aggression and myself was 100% unacceptable. I wanted to cry during and after my appointment!! They had no patience for me not being able to do certain tests and for my baby being a baby. I overheard staff including porchia stating that their nerves were bad and mentioning my name in the hall loudly. It’s already a struggle to take these tests and being that I’m a medical assistant as well I’ve never seen doctors and staff treat patients and their families that way. Dr.Owens spoke to me as if I didn’t know my own health conditions or the position that I applied for with my employer. When my child dropped his sippy cup he looked very disgusted. He told me I should wear a mask and scolded me for it not knowing that I had one and just forgot it in my vehicle trying to rush because parking is horrific. There’s no signs besides in the back about mask saying they are recommended. If they were required staff in front should’ve said something. He has horrible bedside etiquette and shouldn’t be practicing."
"I really wanted to like this doctor's office but... I'm at a loss for words. I've had to call multiple times with little to no help in return. I've had to call almost everyday just to get lied to by Porchia Pinder multiple times. I wish she would just be honest instead of rushing to get me off the phone. I don't like wasting my time calling the office all day because she doesn't want to do her job. Just be honest. I understand the office is busy but if you say you're going to do something keep your word. It doesn't take a week to send a document via email. Lying doesn't help anything or make problems disappear. I had to come here for my worker's comp and it hasn't been smooth or easy. I regret this whole process. If I didn't live an hour away I would be in the office tomorrow making sure I received the help I deserve. I'd be gone if it wasn't too late to change doctors because working with the DOL is already a long and hard process. This was the closest DOL doctor to me within the memorial Hermann system."
"I had to wait 30 mins after my appointment time for them to see me and it probably would have been longer if I hadn’t went to the window and said something. Once in the back the nurse or CMA whatever she was threw my drivers license on the counter. They were so rude and customer service was trash."
"Went here for a DOT physical for a job They found protein in my urine so she would only give me a 3 month card and said I needed clearance from my primary care physician, The pcp cleared me but referred me to a nephrologist, spent over a 1000 dollars in blood work and ultrasound only to find out I’m overweight, he suggested I lose weight and cleared me to work. The DOT dr is refusing to give me a year card which is what I need for the job !!! It’s clearly discrimination!!!!!"
