Sparrow's Nest Thrift Store & Donation Center 380 Northwest Highway, Cary, IL 60013

"I don't understand what has happened, but the last few times I've been here the staff have been very impatient, to the point of being rude. This last time in particular it was regarding the price tags of items. A woman at the front counter stated very loudly, and in a very accusatory tone, to a family in front of us, that an item had the wrong price tag (pants instead of a coat) and that tampered items would not be sold. The customer said "That is okay, Thank you" and the woman at the register said nothing in return. This happened again with another family in front of me when the item had no tag. I however, brought up a furniture tag and was asked no questions other than if I was taking it out that same day. They didn't make sure I was bringing out the right item, they didn't watch me, I could have carried out an item double the price. Even with short staff, it puts a bad taste in my mouth to watch other people be treated as if they're doing something wrong, just for bringing up an item to buy. If you can't sell the item, at least give people the decency of being treated kindly. You're going to start losing customers by treating them this way. Who wants to return to return to a store that talks to you like you're a theif?"

"I have now furnished my living room with vintage furniture I found at Sparrows Nest in Cary. It took over a year to find exactly what I wanted but as each piece showed up, I was excited. I love to shop here because all so clean and very nice staff."

"I'm a little more than disappointed small shop would rip people off. I purchased this tube of wall decals. Seemed intact, was not intact. 95 % of the clings were missing. They charged 5 bucks. Ripping people off.. You could have written something on the package before selling it. That's the last purchase I'll make in that store. Buy beware."

There has been so many times that we go in looking for some obscure item that we need and we end up finding it there! All the people that work there are always so nice and friendly! They also do a great job at pricing everything very reasonable compared to places like savers!"
