"I had an appointment for my daughter at the South Elgin optical location on 02/17/24 for an eye exam and to pick out some new glasses. Upon arriving, we were checked in pretty quickly but had to wait quite some time before we say the eye doctor (who was amazing). While we were waiting we noticed there was no area to sit and wait so you’re kind of just hanging out looking at glasses while you wait and while other customers who have already seen the doctor are shopping around for glasses. It just felt very cramped and not very organized. After we picked out glasses and had them measured and purchased, we were told it would be about 2 weeks for pick up. I called the store on 03/02 to get an update cause we had not heard from anyone and was told the glasses were “making their way through the lab” and that they “would make note to keep an eye on them” which does not give me the best feeling. Today 03/03 I received a text stating my order is delayed. We are now entering week 3 of my daughter not having the glasses she needs and it’s quite frustrating that there was no updates, only when I called to ask for an update. A friend went to the eye doctor at Walmart the same week we did and they picked up their glasses the following week meanwhile we’re heading into week 3 with no glasses. I hope Target will offer some sort of discount to make things correct for the delay."

"Girl who just took my call was super condescending when I asked her about insurance. She just repeated herself as if I hadn’t asked her a question at all. Wouldn’t book my appointment without knowing if I have insurance. Which is so silly since she would’ve booked me if I said I had no insurance, but couldn’t book me when I told her I’d have to double check and could bring my insurance info when I arrive? Wild. Go to Saint Charles, they’re super nice there."
