"This might be our go to now for seolluntang and galbitang! The flavors are light and you can season to taste with the salt on the table. The seolluntang was delightful, perfectly balanced and flavorful. It’s pretty big inside, at least much bigger than it looks on the outside. I would guess there are maybe 10 tables? We came around 11:10 and were the only people inside, but within 30 min the restaurant started to fill up! I can see parking getting tight though there’s parking around the back too where the laundromat is. If you ever get desperate, you can also park at the Hmart next door and walk over."
"Nice and quiet in the small space it’s in. Although the menu is very limited, the menu is great. The bone broth soup tastes really well with the salty banchan (side dishes). The only grudge I have is with the benches at some tables. They’re wobbly especially if you have siblings sitting on one bench. But it’s all great."
"10/10, always a nice place to go by whenever I am craving Seollongtang. Had their spicy pork as well and it was just as good."
"I got the ox bone broth soondubu, which was advertised on a poster. Food took a while to come while side dishes were brought out immediately. I usually dislike radish kimchi but I found theirs deliciously crunchy and refreshing. However, both types of kimchi fell short when it comes to acidity. The soondubu came out boiling hot and loaded with velvety soft tofu, 2 shrimps, and an egg to be cracked in immediately. The broth was so rich, savory, and slightly smoky. Unfortunately, the shrimps were unusually soft and mushy: a telltale sign of not being fresh. Overall, I still found this meal quite enjoyable and will return to try their non-seafood items."
"Easily my favorite Korean restaurant in the Chicagoland area. It tastes like someone’s mom put in lots of love and effort into the food. You will find a small menu here which I appreciate because they take time to perfect each dish. I keep going back to the Wang galbi soup. The broth is so nourishing. Their mandu (steamed dumplings) is so plump and delicious. Their soy marinated shrimp is super umami. Can’t go wrong with any of their seollongtang."
