"Had cabin #5 Place had about 30 plus deer late in the eve walking past the cabin heading down to the river. IT was AWESOME !! The cabin was easy to fine and the fire we had going in the fire place just MADE THE NIGHT awesome with the chairs around it !! Just laid our heads down for the night & was gone early but we would definitely stay there again. LONGER I hope"

"Excellent. The cabins are so well furnished and have everything you would need to sleep, cook, take a bath, do your laundry, and barbecue that it feel more like a Home away from home. You just need to bring your clothes and foot to eat, everything else is there. The water is a few steps down the hill. The water is beautiful and warm not cod. And you can see mountain hills across the river- lake. My kids were so comfortable w the AC and TV, and having their own room and bed that even though, we were just planning to spend a night we decided to stay 2 more nights. Cindy and her husband are so nice and attentive, they welcomed us and made us feel at home right away. We cannot wait to go back to enjoy the beautiful relaxing landscape, river, kayaking, star gazing, and feeding the deer."

"My family and I loved it. The cabins are very nice. The owners were very friendly. The view is incredibly awesome. River is not far at all. (I wish I had had time to fish but to busy exploring). Go with plenty of time to do things. We will definitely be going back."

"Awesome Cabins!! We had a great time staying in these historic cabins right on Devils River last weekend. The Amistad Lake National Recreation Area boat launch is right down the road!! The cabins are super clean and quiet!! They have kitchens with appliances and bbq pits outside. It’s remote yet not far from Del Rio. Oh, and best part they are dog and kid friendly!! Just have to watch them closely as the path to the river is rough."

"loved the scenery & it’s walking distance to the lake. beautiful at night as well stargazing is the best. bert was very friendly & helpful, didn’t get to meet his wife but we would be returning. we absolutely loved this place & so did the kids, it’s a nice & peaceful getaway from all devices. lol :) cabin was clean & put together with all the common needs."
