"We usually order for pickup. Food is always ready on time and very well prepared. Relatively inexpensive compared to similar places. All around very good. Order is usually accurate but if there is a mistake they are very nice about making it right. In fact they actually comped me on some extra soup when I accidentally ordered a cup instead of a bowl! Also their rewards program pays off regularly so I'm almost always getting a few bucks off the bill or something for free."

"Paul the GM is absolutely fantastic. Had an issue prior but he called me and said ask for me next time we will make it right. They over delivered. I never complain but I was annoyed. Ive never had a corporate business call me. Side note, their staff is amazing."

"1/2 soup and sandwich. Chili was terrific. Roast beef / horse radish sandwich was not good at all. I asked if it was a hot sandwich and was told it was. It was warm, at best. The bread was stale and crumbling. I discarded the bread and ate some of the meat. We don't need to go back."

"This McAlister's is very community friendly. It seemed like there were a lot of regulars around when I came. So that was nice. Great community atmosphere feel. However, I wish I could say the same about the service and food. Upon ordering, I felt rushed, the cashier wasn't paying attention to me or willing to help with my order. My order was input in incorrectly and when the manager had to come over and change it she gave me an attitude. I got my food at the table and I expressed at the register that I have a gluten allergy. So I ordered a gluten free meal. Unfortunately, my dish arrived with no utensils and crackers. Now I know that everyone doesn't know about gluten free...but I feel like they should have listened a little better. It also wasn't too crazy busy to miss that. Overall, I ordered a turkey club on gluten free bread and the gluten free chili. The club was ok. Of course the bread taste nasty, because what gluten free bread doesn't. But the chili was disgusting. Too spicy with hints of artificial watered down tomatoe sauce. I will definitely not be ordering from them again and the McAlister's in Schaumburg definitely provides better service and Vernon Hills as well."

"Got a “prize” in my sandwich today. I should start off by saying I love McAlister’s, and in all the times I’ve eaten their food across multiple different shops I have never had this happen. The level of idgaf from the people preparing these sandwiches is astounding. Maybe focus less on the conversation you’re all having together and more into what you’re putting into peoples food before you end up with a lawsuit and no job."
