Heffy's Hot Dogs

"No frills location in a strip center. The staff was friendly and it was clean for a "hole in the wall" type place. There are quite a few menu options. I with with a Chicago dog, fries, and drink and it was less than 10 bucks. You can't beat that. The fries were cooked enough to not be wimpy, another few seconds in the fryer would have been perfect. Well seasoned, and you get a huge order. The dog was perfect. I'd put it up against the more well known places in the Chicago area. Bun was soft, seasoning spot on, and the veggies fresh."

"A very welcoming place. The food is good, the atmosphere is welcoming and the employees friendly. It is worth the wait for your good. The only thing is, it seems like their prices keep going up every time I go in there."

"DO NOT GO HERE! I wish there was a negative rating cause this place is atrocious, disgusting and racist due to the new owner. I ordered food in which I received a greasy and horrible packaged sandwich, in which later I found out someone spat in my food!! I questioned the owner and then was told to leave and go eat somewhere else OUT OF NOWHERE. I asked why, and he simply told me I looked suspicious and he didn’t appreciate me eating outside. Don’t waste your time on going here and over paying for garbage food which might come with a side of spit."

"New owner's again! Nothing compared to the original owner's quality. Prior owner Robin did a great job running this business in the ground. The new owners? Not any better! Stale hot dog buns, not even steamed, fries cooked in grease So Contaminated they weren't even edible. Not sure about all the good ratings on this place. They need to step their game up to be competitive."

"Nice little neighborhood restaurant. We had an gyro, Chicago dog and kids dog. The portions were huge and everything was fresh. My gyro was so full l had to eat a ton of meat first then the sandwich. My husband's dog was really good as well. Very traditional."
