"We have used Portillos for 20 years for our Christmas Eve family party. Unfortunately after several minor mishaps the past few years, including this one, we will no longer be using Portillos catering. First red flag should have been when the order price and recommended quantity went up by %40. Equal number of consumers, just a year older. Went from $465 ish to $720. We can handle price and order increases, but the quality of the beef was very poor. Mostly shavings, very few slices. We had 14lbs of beef, so thought maybe was just 1 bag, but it was all of them as evident with the picture. As far as having 6 lbs and 37 buns and 6 jars of hot giardinera extra we were able to give it away. Frustration for 3rd of last 4 years and having catered for the other Portillo brother for 15 years in my earlier life, it is time to move on to a small local business."

"Portillo's hardly if ever disappoints. Food is legendary. Italian beef sandwich is a known quality. This one was not packed and we did not have to wait in line. Chees fries and onion rings ideally complement the beef sandwich. Overall great experience."
