"The food was cooked well, however I did not enjoy it. It's just not what I liked. I got the Lomo Asadoras and it was very sweet to me. The chutney and the caramelized onions were just very sweet, however the steak was cooked very good though. The steak was seasoned and cooked well on it's own and the bread was very nice and soft. My son got a burger and it was a burger and comes with two patties. I did not enjoy the fries but my son did. They are like the extruded kind."
"Wow. Just fantastic. This was our first visit and we wondered why it has taken us so long to check out this little gem. Tucked away in an out of the way strip mall in the far west suburb of Oswego, it's not somewhere you'll likely stumble upon. It's worth seeking out. There are a handful of tables inside this place and a few more on the sidewalk. Ambiance isn't its forté, but the food and super-friendly service more than makes up for it. There are a number of innovative burgers on the menu, but we settled on El Che and the Criolla. The El Che was my choice. Mexican-style spicy pickled red onions, chimichurri mayo, and bacon topped a 3/4" patty, which was beefy, moist, and non-greasy, despite being cooked well-done. The eggy bun was perfect. My wife loved her Criolla burger as well. They have a large variety of fries to choose from. We shared a basket of the chimichurri fries which were utterly delicious and very unlike any I have ever had. Even the potato itself seemed unique. They appeared to be hand-cut in a sort of spiral fashion and were coated with something like corn or tapioca starch before being fried. Interestingly, it also seemed like the chimichurri that topped them was also fried. A small puddle of olive oil was below them in the basket. Yummmmmmm! Our drinks were also great. I had the cucumber lemonade and my wife had the mango-pineapple. Mine had small cubes of cucumber while my wife's had small cubes of mango. The sturdy, retro, and environmentally-friendly paper straws weren't very useful due to the pieces of cucumber and mango clogging them up, but that was no problem. There are no alcoholic drinks on the menu. I didn't ask if BYOB is an option. Finally, our waitress was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Definitely a home run."
"Wow! We found our burger place!!! My husband stopped by after going to Ace. He loved the burger so much he wanted to bring me the next day. I loved the whole experience we both did!! I usually don't like to venture out of my comfort zone and try new styles of burgers... especially anything with onion. But the Criolla caught my attention. I was going to order w/out onions, but the lady working suggested I try it with the salsa that came on the burger. She convinced me that the flavors all worked well together, especially since it was pickled onions. She brought me a mini sample of the onion to see what I thought. The onions were chopped so finely that I barely noticed it. How cool though that she even offered for me to try the little sample. I wish I caught the name of the lady helping us! She also suggested the lemonade with cucumber! That was so refreshing. I ordered the regular fries and they were so good too, while my husband tried the garlic fries. We enjoyed both styles. He ordered the burger with the red pepper called the Oh LA La. These burgers were packed with so much flavor and freshness! Everything was phenomenal. They really take pride in their burgers and what they do. They love bringing the very best flavors for their customers. We will definitely be back and have told many people in the Oswego area to check it out! Thank you for the wonderful experience!!"
