Reviews
"I have shopped here several times over the last few months. Have always been treated with respect ( I am white, thought I would throw that out there based on other reviews). Always find great deals."
"I loved shopping here. After today I will no longer. My family & I were treated very rudely and the cashier was obviously racist towards white people. Accused us of taking a tag off of an item. I looked for a price and took the item to register to be told I must have removed the tag.....Never will I shop there again and I will tell everyone I know how we were treated."
"Nice staff, spacious store Amd Great deals. .99 tags color Monday and Wednesday. Tuesday’s seniors shop for 25% off and Sunday’s VIP customers shop at 25% off. Items added daily. Fun to see what you’ll find each time I go and visit the other 8 Thrift Giant store for even more fun."
"This place has never once helped us in anyway. Went here multiple times for assistance with paying our rent and they claim to never have funds. They tell you to come back another time just to tell you the same thing. They come back from lunch breaks late and I overheard one lady being very rude to some guy on the phone. When she hung up she made a comment in Spanish and rolled her eyes. Maybe they never have funds cuz were a White family."
"HOW ARE YOU HELPING LOW INCOME HOMELESS RESIDENTS FINANCIALLY WHO LIVE IN LEWISVILLE?!??! I have called Denton County community resources for financial help and was told I do not qualify because I live in Lewisville and am then referred to CCA. CCA tells me that they have no money that can help a person like myself...homeless! I was told if I already had an apartment they MIGHT be able to assist with rent buy ONLY if the rent is VERY LOW and my income is VERY LOW. When I asked for a referral to another resource I was told they had none. Call some local churches, I was told. Most Lewisville churches donate their $ for community resources to CCA. I call CCA, they don't have any programs that can help someone in my situation. Do you see the runaround?!!! I called this morning to ask for financial help and spoke to 2 VERY rude receptionists. The 1st just kept telling me no. I couldn't even finish a sentence without her interrupting to tell me no. I asked to speak to a case worker. I was transferred to Lynn, another receptionist who was very disrespectful. I asked her if they had any programs that could assist someone in temporary housing she said the pantry. I asked if they offered financial assistance to someone like me....Lynn bluntly said no we just can't help people like you. I was so hurt! When I asked her can I speak to a supervisor and whom I was speaking to she just transferred me to voicemail. (I couldn't believe I was talking to employees of a CHRISTIAN based organization!) Are there're really no financial community resources for low income families in temporary housing??!?!!!? Because temporary housing is STILL CONSIDER BEING HOMELESS."
