"Some days it seems like it is shorthanded but overall it's in a good location and they are trying to do a way better job on their refrigeration and freezer equipment here. So I can start buying fresher produce over here, Dollar General MGMT. Team in Nashville, TN start buying US made refrigeration equipment and bring back my Clover Valley 1% milk gallons back, I am not paying nearly $3 a gallon next door to grocery store that's now getting scared of new competition."
"Great place to work at, my managers and co-workers are nice and helpful to everyone."
"I go to this Dollar General frequently. I usually stop here on my way to work at night for a couple things because I work third shift. The store closes at 10pm and I usually stop in around 9:40pm. I don't spend more than about 5 minutes inside, tops and I always use to self checkout unless it's not available. So, from my perspective, I would say I'm a pretty easy customer. Tonight, something happened that through me for a loop though. I walked in around my usual time. I was greeted by one employee that I see here almost every time I'm there, but this time there's a new cashier that I haven't seen before. As I'm walking in and going to grab my basket, she asked me "is there anything specific you're looking for?" And it wasn't in a helpful way that she asked this question. It was in a more negative tone. I didn't know how to respond because it just caught me so off guard. I just looked at her extremely confused and said "no?" At that point she looked irritated by my answer and rolled her eyes. So then I said "well I guess there is? I don't know.." as I proceeded to just walk away and quickly grab the couple of things I wanted before going to work. Then I just used the self checkout and left. This just bothered me. If you're open, you're open. I'm not trying to inconvenience the people that work here. I just stop here when it's convenient for me, which is when I'm on my way to work. I have a strict rule of not stopping at restaurants within 30 minutes of closing, but this is not the same. I just really didn't appreciate this employee's approach at all. I'm sorry, but me being in that store for 3-5 minutes 20-30 minutes before you close shouldn't affect you that much. And I'm not the only person that will stop there in the last 30 minutes that they're open."
