"Came here not too long ago to get my car fixed for the TCM and lights on the dash. They not only charged me 400+ dollars for the tcm they “fixed” but they changed a part that didn’t need to be fixed on my car! The tcm was STILL not working and when I told them about the lights on the dash they said “well you said to fix this so we just did what you told us” when that wasn’t even the issue!! Only thing they did right was fix the horn. I wasted around 600 dollars just for my car to be the exact same. Im taking my car somewhere else after this. Edited: I just looked back at how much money I practically gave these people for free…I paid a total of 934.88 for my tcm that never got fixed, sensors that never got fixed, drive belt and A/C that was never fixed. Do not come here."

"I want to give a big thanks to Johnny graham who owns Bridge St Automotive and Transmission in Yorkville. My old rusty truck needed electrical work and brake work that I couldn’t fix and a shop in Aurora couldn’t fix either so I took my truck out to him and he got the entire job done within a couple days despite clearly being busy. He saved me from having to replace a part that would’ve involved pretty much taking the whole rear end apart. Yes he could’ve lied and said that’s what would have to be done so he can make more $$ (like a lot of other shops do) but he was honest and was able to fix the problem and do a great job. I was surprised he was able to fix the electrical too. A lot of shops only do mechanical or only transmissions but his shop does it all mechanical, electrical, and transmissions. He even welds. He even went out of his way to help me add some brackets to my hot dog cart after hours he drove us to menards and everything. Great mechanic great person. It’s hard to find real honest mechanics that don’t lie to you and overcharge you but Johnny he’s a good one and he’ll take care of you. If you have ANY car issues check him out and if you don’t live close to he shop go anyways the honesty and service you’ll receive is worth the drive. I live in aurora and he’s in Yorkvilke but he’s now my mechanic."

"I had my AC compressor replaced in my 2001 Dodge pickup. The owner, John Graham identified a servo motor for the blend door was bad, the motor was available, but the plastic gear on the blend door is not available John located a comparable Dodge truck at a wrecking yard and personally took apart a donor truck while it was snowing outside to replace the bad part in my pickup! It is this level of customer care Bridge Street Automotive provides that is way above and beyond any other repair shop I have dealt with. John and his crew are great technicians, very honest and reasonably priced."

While I was standing there, trying to figure out what to do, the owner of Bridge Street Automotive happened to pull in and stopped to help. He quickly determined that the issue was a broken axle, and helped me get my car around behind the building to where his shop was located. Two days later, and my car was patched up at an affordable price. Great service, highly recommended."
