"Our table sat for 30 to 40 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. And that was because someone from the table stopped a waitress. There were 3 tables that came after us already having food cooked. Every was wonderful after they finally realized we were there."

"We recently had dinner with friends at Shogun. It was Saturday night, and they were busy. The restaurant has a layer of grease on everything from the chairs to the windows. The restrooms were not clean and were not properly supplied. The Hibachi Chef Zach was awesome he prepared a great meal and was very entertaining."

"Worst Birthday ever!!! My daughter and I are new in town so we decided to have a nice birthday dinner there. We got there around 9pm, mind u they close at 10:30. They sat us, secluded from others and the temperature in the room was horrendously cold. We waited another 30 mins and they sat a group of 3 with us. I sure thought when the grill was getting lit up it would warm us up, IT DIDN'T!!! As soon as the food was plated the waitress came around with the check and had the nerve to ask if I was ready to pay, I hadn’t even took a bite of my food yet. The food got cold after a min because it was so cold in there. I was not happy at all. Then they came out not enthusiastic at all with the mediocre happy birthday thing they do, I wasn’t even excited. So basically we were rushed and the staff was rushing to go home. I didn’t appreciate this visit what so ever. Back at home in Michigan you can be seated in any restaurant up until closing and get great service. My table was the last ones to leave, nobody asked if we needed containers or anything, I had to grab my own. At 10:30 when we left the restaurant was completely shut down n dark, I have never seen such or been treated so horribly especially on my Birthday and especially at the price I paid . Never recommending and never coming back!!!"

"Wow. This place is amazing. The sushi and dessert was perfect, I ate every last little bite. Wine was great too. Service, best I’ve had actually - my server was Saji and she was beyond fabulous. Highly recommend this place :) I had the rainbow roll, a salad with ginger dressing, green tea mochi and banana tempura."

"Honestly, 3 things I really like here that didn't happen tonight were the reason for 4 stars. 1, no sake squirt. All previous visits they filled our mouths up with sake. 2, no toss of extra food at everyone at the table, only to our youngest, which missed our birthday person. 3, I like when they used to put leftovers in a foil that they fold into an animal. Besides that, fun visit, and incredible food. They build gratuity into the bill as "service". I don't prefer that as they make the cook split it with the order taker. We had no wait, on a Saturday night, but got there at 430. It was full an hour later, with a few groups waiting. The steak and scallops is very tender and yummy."
