"The food is awesome. The only thing that would make it better is if they would keep an eye on on our drinks! Every time I’m there the server walks by and looks at my empty drink/bottle and just keeps on going. I ended up going to the bar and getting my own on the last two visits. The place isn’t busy at the time we are there. They could sell twice as many highly profitable items if they would just notice my mostly empty glass of beer and ask if I want another. The food quality makes up for it though."
"The shrimp yakisoba was very good; probably the best I've had in quite some time. My son said the chicken donburi was exceptional. The lobster spring roll was also very good, albeit a bit small. The dipping sauce for the spring roll was top notch. I seriously wanted an IV, it was that good. The inside of the restaurant was very well done. Next time we go, sushi will definately be ordered. Be prepared to spend a little more than the other, comparable restaurants in the area. Not terribly expensive, but pricier than the the other options."
"I was excited to have another sushi option in Edwardsville, but that excitement was dampened after my experience at Druken Fish. The restaurant lacks luster compared to other locations. All of the booths have ripped upholstery. I can't believe booths would have that amount of damage with their recent opening. The only logical conclusion is that they used old booths from a previous location. Why one would add old seating in a new restaurant is beyond me. The overall decor was unimpressive and appeared basic based on the amount their menu items cost. I entered the restaurant around 2 pm. on a Thursday. The waitress barely spoke while walking me to my table. There were only 3 tables occupied in the restaurant, but it still took 20 minutes for the waitress to take my order. I ordered the lobster spring rolls. I didn't taste any seafood, but it was decent. I ordered two rolls, fried Philly & and another- I don't recall the name. Both had a weird taste and didn't taste fresh. The manager came out and apologized. She offered other options, but I refused. She zeroed out the tab. Again, she was nice, but I would not return to this location."
"One of our favorite sushi places has gotten a little closer to home. This location is new (as of July 2023) so keep that in mind for any waits or learning curves for the staff. Everything we had was cooked and presented well, the restaurant atmosphere is SUPER trendy and comfortable. The staff were all very kind and helpful with ordering. The combination Udon is amazing, and the fried Philly roll is one of my favorites."
