"This place smells awesome, the smoke billowing from the smoker out front makes you want to order everything on the menu. I got the brisket, ribs, and bologna, with cole slaw and kale salad. The brisket was good, flavorful, and the portion was just right. The ribs were good but not as tender as what I'm used to. The bologna was okay. The kale was good, as was the slaw. Service was awesome and the atmosphere was nice. Get there early, the place fills up quick and they run out of food!"

"extremely fast service, appetizers are served with entree, you literally get your food within 90 seconds of ordering. food was not amazing, but barely above average mass produced food, temperatures of side dishes were lukewarm, seems like nothing is made at the time of ordering, looks to be hot held line a cafeteria. just good, not amazing or great. food takes a good picture but ribs were tough, chewy, fatty, beans were almost cold and definitely undercooked. popover was stale-ish. location is great, server was great."

"I enjoyed Salt + Smoke on my trip to St Louis. Our server Will was excellent. I would say this is your typical style BBQ restaurant, but with a few exceptions. They had your choose you meat and sides combo platter . Along with homemade sauces to choose from on the table. The difference was they used a soda manufacturer the uses pure cane sugar, daily special sides, and the location. It sits right in front of the Cardinals baseball stadium. I could defiantly see eating here before a game."

"My third location stopping at because there’s no way that all three can be that good…. But fortunately, THEY ARE. I’ve made it a point to stop every location on my way across country and I’ve never been disappointed. Service is always fantastic and having that years apart across three different locations quite frankly impressed the hell out of me… I tried the burnt ends ravioli and deviled eggs today… damn I should have tired them sooner. Also, tried the potato salad today and the flavor is spectacular. I love the subtle twists and flavors they put on things. I can’t rave about this place enough to everyone I know that’s coming through here. The Mac and cheese is always a favorite as are the trashed wings. The sauces are phenomenal. Thanks for a fantastic experience across years across different locations. This will be my favorite forever."

"This place was recommended to us by several people. While our server was great, we just found the food to be okay. Not bad, but not great either. Two of us got the pulled pork sandwich. We weren't impressed with the pork flavor or the coleslaw (not my preferred kind). The pork was tender and moist, so I'll give it that. The BBQ sauce at our table was okay. We got the mac and cheese side, it was pretty basic mac and cheese with crushed Ritz crackers on top. My son got the wings with spicy sauce. He said they were good and got spicier the more he ate. His wings came with a bacon and cheese popover (we were unable to taste either in the popover), fries (better than the mac) and mac. It's location was very convenient to the preferred parking to visiting the arch (one other reason we chose to eat here), so I'll give them that. I found the bathroom to be so-so."
