California Pizza Kitchen at Deer Park

"We love CPK, but their prices have soared for a personal pizza. The staff was nice, but we're clearly running short handed. Still a nice place to eat, just anticipate spending money on pizza more than other places"

"I cannot begin to describe the unreal service my daughter received yesterday. Assumptions are the worst. Yes 2 teenage girls came in, little did you know they had an unlimited budget. The staff ignored them at the front counter to be seated after a while of making eye contact with waitresses who saw them, they thought it was a seat yourself place since it was them, an older couple and 1 other table. So my daughter grabbed 2 menus and 2 forks and they sat down. To then only overhear a waitress talk about them to another waitress who would be taking care of them. That waitress did bare minimum for them. All while the restaurant is starting to fill and everyone else is being greeted, given baskets of bread and repeatedly checked in on. But not my daughter and her friend. Please go back review the cameras at dinner time 2 girls in denim and brown hair. See how awful your staff treated them and how now in return you will have 1 less family who has a huge group of friends and family local in the area who will also boycott your restaurant until there is an apology. They ruined what was supposed to be a last dinner out before 1 left ... and here you made them feel belittled .. shame should only be on your staff."

"I ordered delivery for the classic Margherita pizza and a Tomato Bisque. The Margherita pizza was okay. It tasted good, but nothing stands out. I give it a 5.6. The crust was crispy, and the sauce had a nice tangy flavor. They could have added more cheese and basil leaves. It's a great take on the classic, but there are much better experiences on the menu. I enjoyed trying the Tomato Bisque, and it was delicious. I would give it a solid score of 8 out of 10. The croutons added an extra layer of flavor, and dipping the bread in the soup was a delightful combination. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that I highly recommend."

"While the food here is great the overall FOH experience is terrible! The moment I walked-in I asked a table for 2. The 3 hostess were not engaging, not pleasant and definitely did not want to entertain my husband and I. They waited 2 minutes, looked at each other before deciding who was going to assist us to our table. On top of that they didn't seem to happy to be working there. Once we were seated the 3 of them kept looking over to my husband and I's table as if we weren't supposed to be in this restaurant. It made us feel awkward and discriminated against. Even though the restaurant was filled with 80% Caucasian and Europeans. The only good thing about this restaurant is the food! Other than that your 3 hostess for this evening needs further training or you guys need to find some other individuals who actually fits to be in the hospitality industry. And your waiter Ruby who seems tired and not paying attention also needs some refresher training. Had to add and change the review on this...because they brought out our food incorrectly and the presentation on the food is subpar. Ruby didn't bother to apologize but also didn't bother to offer or ask if there's anything she can do to make it up to us. ***Update: This place is under new leadership (GM: Matt Jurenci) who had followed up with me to make everything right! I did address my concerns which was heard. And he was very empathetic of the situation! He has a great demeanor in resolving guest issues! He did ask to give them a second chance which we did just take out vs dine-in. Hopefully, the service has gotten better! Suggestion - if you're hiring highschool kids ensure that they will work hard and follow the training. :) Thank you Matt for your warm hospitality and leadership!!"

"Prices have hiked here. Most pizzas are now above $16, which is absurd because they only serve one person. The food is still pretty good despite the high prices. Ordered the Wild Mushroom pizza and it was tasty! I just don’t think it’s worth $17. Service and atmosphere were pretty good throughout the meal."
